IPL Devices
Intense pulsed light (IPL) devices emit broad spectra of visible and infrared light from 500-1200 nm. As broadband light sources, IPL targets multiple chromophores at once, making them suitable for multifunctional treatments. IPL is commonly used to treat sun damage, pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, and hair removal by targeting melanin, hemoglobin, and other skin components. Their versatility has made IPLs popular aesthetic devices, though results tend to be more modest than with laser-specific systems.
