Ceramic products contain calcined kyanite (mullite). This application requires knowledge of the morphology of mullite. There are two typical morphologies for mullite.

One has a low aspect ratio and is shaped like a wafer, while the other has a high aspect ratio and is shaped like a needle. The interlocking needle-like mullite needles give the ceramic material incredible mechanical strength and resistance to temperature changes.

When the ratios of basic components such as calcium and sodium are low, mullite takes on the shape of a needle. In order to succeed in the ceramics industry, Anand Talc is a Kyanite powder Manufacture, Supplier & Exporter for Refactory Material in Rajasthan, India with low iron content and few basic impurities.

THE USE OF KYANITE IN REFRACTORY MATERIALS.

Linings for high temperature furnaces and reactors are made of heat resistant refractory materials which must withstand extreme heat, mechanical wear, thermal shock and chemical corrosion. Kyanite is sometimes used in its raw form and is mainly used in calcined form in refractories.

  1. Kyanite is a mineral with a high coefficient of expansion. In addition, a significant increase (20%) in volume occurs concomitantly with its calcination into mullite. Raw kyanite as a refractory material is therefore particularly advantageous when shrinkage due to other materials and binders must be compensated.
  2. Mullite calcined kyanite is often used in refractory materials. Mullite's excellent refractory properties include thermal stability (it is stable up to 1810oC), resistance to thermal shock, resistance to creep, high heat resistance and resistance to chemical corrosion.

Distinctive features of Calcined Kyanite Firebricks include.

  1. Increased modulus of fracture. lower expansion coefficient.
  2. Greater temperature and firing range.
  3. Three times more durable than ordinary bricks in terms of durability.
  4. More protection against salt attacks.
  5. Very low chipping coefficient.

With the exception of steel metallurgy, where mullite refractory bricks are corroded by iron slag and have poor resistance to metal oxides, kyanite refractory bricks are used in the glass industry and various metallurgical industries .

Raw Kyanite is a product that Anand Talc has been offering for a long time. Our kyanite is extremely pure and free of silica, bases and alkalis. The refractory properties of mullite are affected by these impurities because they significantly lower the softening point of the material. Indian kyanite is often associated with corundum. Since less free silica remains after calcination, this is advantageous. All together.

Anand Talc exporter of kyanite powder of the highest refractory quality, which performs well both in its natural state and after being calcined.

THE USE OF KYANITE IN ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.

Due to their low electrical conductivity, high thermal stability, and chemical inertness, kyanite and mullite are often used in the production of electrical products. It is used in high voltage electrical insulation, electronics, torch tips, spark plugs, heating elements and other components.

Anand Talc provides top quality raw kyanite. The electrical conductivity of the product is modified by the presence of impurities such as iron oxide. We therefore pay special attention to supplying pure kyanite so that it can be successfully used in the manufacture of electronic components.
