Eligibility criteria:
There are different criteria on the basis of the level of your educational background and work experience. Let’s know about each one of them as per work experience and educational qualifications:
Temporary Graduate:
You must complete an Australian Bachelor’s Degree or higher, and the degree needs to be an ICT major and closely relevant to your chosen occupation. You are not required to have worked in the field.
Post-Australian Study Skills Assessment:
You must possess an Australian Bachelor’s Degree or higher. The Australian qualification must be an ICT major and closely relevant to the occupation you have chosen. In addition, you are required to complete 1 year of related post-study work experience or complete the ACS Professional Year program.
Skills:
In the case of having a Bachelor’s degree or higher and the degree is closely relevant to your chosen occupation, and it is an ICT major, demonstrate 2 years of related work experience in the last ten years or four years of relevant work experience anytime in the past.
If possessing a bachelor’s degree or higher and the degree is not closely related to your occupation, and it is an ICT major, demonstrate 4 years of related work experience anytime in the past.
In the case of having a bachelor’s degree or higher and the degree is closely relevant to your chosen occupation, and it is an ICT minor, demonstrate 5 years of related work experience you gained in the last 10 years or 6 years of experience that is relevant and you gained it anytime in the past.
If possessing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and the degree is not closely relevant to the occupation you choose, and it is an ICT minor, show a minimum of 6 years of related work experience acquired anytime in the past.
In the case of being with a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree and the qualification is closely relevant to the occupation you chose, and it is an ICT major, demonstrate 5 years of related work experience you earned in the last 10 years or 6 years of relevant work experience earned anytime in the past.
In the case of having a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree and the qualification is not closely relevant to the occupation you have chosen to apply for, and it is an ICT major, you must have 6 years of related work experience you earned anytime in the past.
RPL:
If having a non-ICT Diploma or higher, you need to have 6 years of related work experience and a successful RPL application.
In the case of not having a tertiary qualification, show 8 years of relevant work experience and a successful RPL application.
Using the RPL pathway requires you to demonstrate how you earned your ICT knowledge. It requires you to provide the authority with 2 project reports. The report needs to contain details on your career episode and show ICT knowledge acquired by working in real situations.
Eligible work experience:
To prove your eligibility for the ACS Migration Skills Assessment, the employment must fulfill the following criteria:

It’s required for you to work at least 20 hours per week.

You need to be remunerated for your work.

The employment must be post-qualification.
In other words, volunteering or research work that is completely based on the thesis will be unacceptable as work experience for an ACS skill assessment.
