Many Muslims believe that the month of Sha’ban has a special feature and separate acts of worship for it over the rest of the months. A great debate has taken place among the people in general regarding the priority of the month of Sha’ban and its specificity with fasting or praying at night. Does the fifteen Shaban night have a special virtue?
“There is no authentic narration that applies to the virtue of the fifteen Shaban night, even concerning the virtues. Rather, there were reports regarding this night from some of the followers, and the most authentic hadiths are fabricated or very weak.

Based on this, it is not prescribed to celebrate that night, not to fast during the day, or to single it out for a specific act of worship, and there is no lesson in the number of ignorant people who do that, and God knows best”.
Ruling on praying the fifteen Shaban night:
“If a Muslim wants to get up at night on fifteen Shaban night as he does on other nights of the year – without extra work or extra diligence, and not specifying anything for it – then there is nothing wrong with that.
