Moreover, advancements in coating technology have allowed manufacturers to create polyester films with anti-static, anti-fog, and UV-resistant properties for more specialized uses.

Sustainability is an emerging priority for polyester film producers. As concerns about plastic waste grow, more companies are investing in recyclable and biodegradable alternatives. PET film itself is recyclable, and ongoing innovations in recycling technology are improving the feasibility of closed-loop systems for film reuse, particularly in the packaging industry.
