Assassin is a class that I didn't spend a lot of time with during the game. When I did, however, I was able to use Lightning Trapper. What ever style of Trapper you run, you're almost always going to want to use Maxed Death Sentry as a secondary weapon. When you reach Level 30 and begin to progress through the game's more difficult levels, you'll want to max out a few skills, including Fire Blast, Shock Web, Charged Bolt Sentry, Lightning Sentry, and Death Sentry. I realize that's a lot of skill points, but bear with me.
Traps, for those who are unfamiliar, are summons that are based on minion summons and are stationary. They attack enemies as soon as they come into range, and if there are multiple opponents, the one who is closest becomes the primary target. The end of the game reveals that this is yet another class capable of dealing massive amounts of damage. In addition to fire damage and physical damage, we'll be dealing with a lot of Lightning Damage. This is done to ensure that we never run out of options when dealing with adversaries. As you progress through D2R PS4 runewords Resurrected, you will come into contact with various vendors, including Gheed and Elzix, Alkor and Jamella, Nihlathak and Anya, among many other people.
Death Sentry, Wake of Fire, and the Lightning Traps will be the mainstays of our offensive strategy. Death Sentry, on the other hand, is the most important skill, if I had to choose one. Simply put, it is a shame that it requires level 30. Consequently, if you're planning on going all the way with this build, that's when you'll most likely start putting significant points into it as well.
What You Should Know
We'll be concentrating primarily on the "Traps" tree, with only a small amount of time spent on the Shadow Disciplines tree as well. Skills such as Claw Mastery and Cloak of Shadows will increase your survivability and damage output, respectively. After all is said and done, Death Sentry and Wake of Fire are the two most important skills we'll probably use, but Lightning Sentry is another one I like. If you aren't planning on using Lightning Traps, you can skip the step of increasing Lightning Sentry's maximum health.
After all, it only serves to increase the amount of Lightning damage that is dealt. It has no effect on the Corpse Explosion aspect of Death Sentry, and it does not enhance it. That is also where the real money is with that trap. Fire Blast works in synergy with Wake of Fire and increases the number of shots you get from Death Sentry, making it an important addition to your collection.
Trapper Assassins wield Claw Weapons, so earn a point in Claw Mastery so that you can put a point into Weapon Block to counteract their attacks. Our ideal situation would be to be able to use our traps and abilities to defeat enemies while they are far away from us. Using early abilities such as Fire Blast and Shock Web to slow down and harm your opponents at the same time is an excellent strategy. D2R Items Xbox's only when we can get Wake of Fire to start hurling fireballs at our adversaries that things really get interesting.
Death Sentry lands at your feet and begins to attack. It can strike your opponents with lightning. Alternatively, it detonates nearby corpses, destroying everything in its path. It's similar to the Corpse Explosion from the Necromancer series in that it bases its damage on the health of the body that's exploding. It accounts for 40-80% of the corpse's remaining life. This weapon shoots five times, and the Fire Blast feature increases the number of shots (+1 for every three levels reached). The reason Death Sentry is so effective is that the more health our opponents have, the more damage it deals. It will be very simple to use this to detonate a large number of enemies in a single room.
