APEGS Canada is a regulatory body that regulates the practices of engineering and geoscience in the province of Saskatchewan. Since its establishment, APEGS has been instrumental in regulating and setting standards for the engineering and geoscience professions. 

The association sets standards for admission for qualified engineers and geoscientists to become licensed professionals in Saskatchewan. Apart from that, APEGS investigates allegations of professional incompetence or professional misconduct of registrants and takes necessary action against the individual. It prevents the illegal practice of engineering or geoscience by unlicensed individuals. 

APEGS provides opportunities for professional development, including continuing education courses and networking events.

Its core purpose remains the same: to ensure that its members adhere to the highest possible standards of practice.

Objectives of the Association

1.    APEGS ensures the proficiency and competency of its members in the practice of engineering or geoscience to safeguard the public.
