PoE: Ethereal Knives Chieftain Build Guide
An off-meta tanky spellcaster using chieftains' easy fire conversion. Very good for mapping since we run Herald of Ash Herald of Ash and Haste Haste. Lots of armor and evasion, plus Petrified Blood with massive regen, feels very solid in high-tier maps. Requiring not many buttons is only the icing around the cake.

Pros
No Meta Tax: Ethereal Knives Ethereal Knives brings lots of value with no added tax, there aren't any big ticket uniques required.
Easy League start: Very few required uniques, just running Doon Cuebiyari Doon Cuebiyari, The Magnate, and Crown o,f Thorns for the early league.
Smooth Mapping: Haste Haste, Herald of Ash Herald of Ash, perma-phasing, big range, this build just feels great to map with.
Cons
Bosses: Maven, Sirus, etc, aren't any problem, but DPS is low for that Uber-Ubers.
Uncommon Gear: With a small market for the gear we use, it’s sometimes difficult to find. This can be fixed by crafting it yourself.
How Does it Play?
Ethereal Knives Ethereal Knives is a frontal cone with a big range, if you notice a pack just start blasting. The spell includes multiple overlapping projectiles that don’t shotgun but could pierce, therefore we stack 3-4 pierces to create packs melt. All that and you will take a hit too.
Damage and Defensive Scaling
Our Ethereal Knives Ethereal Knives is fully fire converted so both %phys and %fire increase work, but gem levels and cast speed would be the big mods for all of us, together with spell damage. Using Petrified Blood Petrified Blood gives the use of Pain Attunement through Crown of Thorns Crown of Thorns and then Skin from the Lords Skin from the Lords.
