We'll share what an EA Sports representative told us: It is expected that the Washington Football Team will be upgraded to the new Washington Commander nickname, uniforms and logo in Madden NFL 23.
This signifies that EA is likely to not update the Washington Football Team to the current look in Madden 22. We'll have to wait until the next game, which is likely to be during August for the updated Washington team. Washington took part in the last two seasons -- an 18-month process of collaboration with fans buy Madden 22 coins, alumni, local leaders, and players from all over the area -- to help come up with the new name.
