Recently, John Hight explained this decision in a conversation with Eurogamer and explained how players can now change the character's gender for free at a barber shop in Shadowlands.

Gott said that they used to pay players to change the gender of their characters. After the official release of Shadowlands, players will be able to do this through the in-game barber shop. And when they added something in Shadowlands, they realized that the only way to change their character in World of Warcraft is to accept this paid service. They think this is wrong. It is frustrating that they cannot solve this problem now, so their purpose in the Shadowlands extension is to remove it from the paid service and put it in the barber shop. Blizzard can't easily fix this problem now, but we will enjoy the service of changing the gender of the characters in Shadowlands for free in the future.

During the interview, Hight also talked about a new character to Cheap WOW Classic Gold and appear in Shadowlands, called Pelagos. According to the introduction, Pelagos will be the first transgender in the history of World of Warcraft. In the main story of Shadowlands expansion, Pelagos belongs to the Kyrian covenant, and players can join the covenant in the game and get help from Pelagos.

Finally, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will be released later in 2020, but the Beta version is scheduled to start next week. And it is the eighth new expansion of World of Warcraft, which will be carried out in later versions. It has five new areas, an "ever-changing dungeon" called the Tower of the Damned, and so on.
