James got recorded on one knee whilst we watched the sunset on Gili Air. It was probably the most perfectly surreal moment of my entire life. I had always wanted to visit Indonesia and today it will always possess a special devote heart.

James wanted a conventional church wedding and thus we had our wedding ceremony in the church of St Mary and St. Bartholomew in Hampton in Arden, Solihull with this reception at Hampton Manor. The church adjoins the estate and there is a garden walkway between your two, which helped the flow during the day. We were on cloud nine walking to the venue as newlyweds with all of our guests. We checked out different types of venues but the moment we walked into Hampton Manor we knew it had been the place for all of us. It has a lot of style and character and we loved the thought of having exclusive utilization of the Manor to talk about the fantastic space with these loved ones. Hampton Manor includes a Michelin star restaurant on-site and that we thought it had been such a special touch our wedding breakfast could be inspired through the Michelin star menu.

David Boynton was our photographer who worked together with Ryan Mobberley who had been our videographer. Dave and Ryan were truly amazing on our big day. They both made us feel completely comfortable, even making the effort to help James together with his outfit each morning. They might have easily blended in as guests. We love how natural all of the photographs are and that they just captured events because they unfolded.

I had no idea what type of dress I was searching for – I had never really imagined being a bride or wished for my wedding gown. At the first shop I visited, I tried on each style to try and work out what suited my body system shape. I am short and my mom burst into laughter when I tried on the ballgown dress so I knew it wasn't for me! After fitting what felt like all dresses in the store, I realized that mermaid wedding dresses appeared to suit me best and loved the way they made me feel.

I visited lots of different shops. I must have tried on over 30 dresses. But I just didn't have that "feeling" about the dresses. I was beginning to lose hope and thus I was built with a break within the Christmas period as I wanted to savor the experience and it had been starting to feel stressful.

I picked the FeelTimes dress and I bought my dress at feeltimes.co.uk. I knew I wanted a fishtail dress but I hadn't quite found "the one". The dress is elegant and classic that I knew it might stand the exam of time but the rear detail added this type of wow factor and helped me feel glam. As soon as I place the dress on, I had all of the feels also it wasn't well before me and my mom were crying! My mom very kindly purchased the dress for me and treated herself to some feel times Mother from the Bride outfit – she looked fab!

When choosing my accessories, I was conscious of I didn't want something that would take away in the back from the dress and thus I wore just one tier, illusion tulle, cathedral length veil for that ceremony. I had the veil personalized with these names and also the date in our wedding embroidered around the edge. I couldn't resist treating myself to some pair of Jimmy Choos, and went for any peep toe metallic pair. I also wore a little hairpiece from Ivory & Co and was built with a "Mrs. Smith" personalized clutch bag from Etsy for my essentials. My only jewelry was a set of earrings, which I forgot to set up in my rush to be in the church promptly. My mom and wedding party were commenting how calm and relaxed I seemed each morning getting ready but regardless of how organized you might feel (even though you leave all your accessories laid out around the dressing table before you), it never all would go to plan. It is reliable advice it made no difference to the wonderful day and I didn't realize until I saw our photographs for that first time!

I loved planning our wedding but I did think it is stressful sometimes as like several brides I wanted our day to become perfect for all of us. I wanted your day to feel personal and thus with the help of my mom, maid of honor, and bridesmaids I made all in our invitations, stationery for that day, table runners, and favors. It was great to understand I'd had a lot of input around the day however with hindsight it had been a lot of unnecessary added pressure!

We didn't possess a theme as a result but we went for neutral tones to go with the venue. Our florist, Passion for Flowers, was amazing and stepped in at short notice a month before the wedding when we'd to unexpectedly end our relationship with this existing florist. Karen captured our vision for that day and that we were amazed by how incredible the church and venue looked. We were built with a sweetheart table therefore we could have some quality time together and all of our guests were seated at four sprig tables full of candles and flowers. We love to travel and thus we named our tables after countries we'd visited coupled with pictures of people in those countries on each table.

I haven't met a few who hasn't spent more about their wedding compared to what they originally budgeted and thus all I would advise would be to try to not overstretch yourself and your perspective. From our own experiences as wedding guests, we thought that ultimately guests want great food along with a good time and thus we attempted to focus our shelling out for this.

My advice to brides could be to enjoy every moment and do not sweat the little stuff. Things are prone to go wrong however they honestly don't impact how you feel around the day or how perfect your big day will be for you both.

It's so difficult to choose the best part of our day, I'll always remember the moment I walked on the aisle and saw James for that first time or our alone time traveling the grounds together as newlyweds… the best part for me personally was our first dance. Our song is I Will Wait by Mumford and Sons and also the band played a slowed-up acoustic version for all of us. Dancing with James whilst all of our friends and family sang along to the song provided chills and I loved it once the band acquired the pace and everyone found to join us around the dance floor.
