Lost Ark restricts new Steam accounts to fight bots

The next update for Lost Ark which is due to arrive tomorrow, is using Steam's trusted account features to combat bots. Steam accounts who have lost - or aren't yet earning the platform's "trusted" status are losing access to various features in an effort to block the bots currently occupying the game.
New Steam accounts are considered limited until that account makes an investment of at least $5 USD from Steam's Steam store. Then, the limited accounts are not allowed to access all of Steam's social features as part of Valve's plan to stop fraudulent activity through Steam. In the present, the Lost Ark devs are using the same feature to fight bots in the MMO.
As of this weekly update, Lost Ark players with small Steam accounts will no longer be able initiate player-to player trading, but trade requests are accepted. Also, they won't be able in-game gifts, trade Royal Crystals for gold, or send out in-game mail using attachments.
"Additional improvements to cheap Lost Ark Gold our anti-cheat tools are also available in this update , to keep out bots and cheaters," the devs say in their announcement "alongside a few more changes we've come up with with Smilegate RPG behind the scenes. We're not able to reveal all our secrets, or those involved in these kinds of activities could be exposed. We're aware that this won't fix every issue, and we'll continue to take action against users engaging in fraudulent purchases and bots."
