A Boho, festival-inspired Wedding at Heaven Farm
Meet our couple, Emma and Ollie. Emma is a make-up artist, and Ollie is a farming contractor, plus they were married around the 25 August in the magnificently named Uckfield, East Sussex. The couple became engaged in February 2018 after finding themselves in a relationship for a year.
"We both love the outside, and thus we decided in early stages that that's where we desired to get married. Although risky using the weather, it had been well worth it ultimately! We also wanted a venue outside that people could officially get married at, instead of having a ceremony inside a registry office after which a wedding before guests. We are both very busy, and also have 4 children between us, therefore it made sense to get it done all in one day."
Emma finds the bohemian wedding dress, which is available at FeelTimes. I love the striking lace overlay, together with using the long bell sleeves with hand-knotted cotton fringe – it's so cool!
"All their dresses are extremely relaxed and simple to wear, but I loved the backless style with fringed sleeves along with a full skirt and train. It was exactly what I was searching for because it still looked like a marriage dress (which I wanted for Ollie – he's a little more traditional than me!) but bohemian and different. The design within the lace is unique too, which I loved."
Ollie's fantastic three-piece brown tweed suit originated from that they wore had a navy blue tie and white shirt, brogues, along with a tie pin, that was a gift from his mum.
The couple secured the expertise of the planner, who provided invaluable support, and designed the marriage stationery, including a sweet instance of Emma and Ollie for his or her invitations, in addition to a map from the venue.
Emma was accompanied on the aisle by her father and chose Cat Power's song, Sea of Love as her entrance music. The couple's ceremony was conducted with a local registrar, plus they kept things simple using their vows, choosing to not include readings to make for any short but sweet and child-friendly ceremony.
Inside the marriage, tipi hired florist Holly to fill the area with numerous romantic, neutral-hued flowers, with garlands of greenery over the tables along with a spectacular hoop produced from deer antlers adorned with trailing blooms.
"We wanted any decoration to possess a bit of the edge, therefore we went for neutral colors and decorated the marriage arbor with deer antlers from the friend's deer farm. That same friend made us an attractive deer antler hoop filled with fairy lights."
As it started to get dark, there is live music from the band (found through Tailored Entertainment), and outside, guests mingled within the wedding field through the fire pit or made their way over to the beautiful Airstream photobooth that Emma and Ollie hired through.
"I think we worked very hard to tailor our wedding to us, also it all fell directly into place very well. I would say that marriage outdoors is extremely nerve-racking. Counting around the British weather would be a worry I wouldn’t wish to deal with again we have spent so hard to obtain everything so. We missed an entire day of torrential rain, that was forecast for the day but blew over towards the day after. We were very lucky, as I think our whole day would have been very different within the rain!"

"Make the wedding about you as well as your partner. Don't get too sucked along with what others want – it's your day ultimately. We ditched lots of tradition – we didn't have speeches or perhaps a first dance, and I worried a great deal about changing the formula, and when others could be disappointed, but I'm so glad that people stuck to the guns and went for completely what we should want."
"So lots of people told us that it had been the best wedding they'd ever been to and that we felt comfortable instead of making ourselves uncomfortable simply to conform and please others."
