T+L's annual World's Best Awards survey asks readers to share their thoughts on the best hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more from around the world. Guests gave their opinions on everything from the cleanliness of the rooms to the quality of the food and service they received while staying at the establishments they reviewed. A city hotel, resort, or safari lodge could be found in a variety of locations depending on their amenities and location.
There's a lot of buzz about the stunning canal views from some of Amsterdam's most fashionable hotels in Travel+Leisure. In addition to their exteriors, the interiors of many properties were lauded as well. This year marked the 125th anniversary of De L'Europe, one of Paris' most famous landmarks, and in 2020, the hotel will undergo a complete renovation that will result in eight new suites. One guest of the No. 5 hotel's renovation said, "It perfectly combines the past and the present." 'I love the design and the vibe in the lobby,' said another guest. "Not your typical beige and gray."
Exceptional customer service is another distinguishing feature of the best Amsterdam hotels. A four-time guest of the Ambassade Hotel (No. 4) wrote, "This is our favorite hotel because we can always expect to be welcomed and treated well."
