The 2023 NFL offseason is officially upon us. Teams can now begin negotiating with unsigned veterans Monday, March 13, the start of the league's legal tampering period, and signings and trades can be finalized starting Wednesday, March 15 at 4 p.m. ET.Suffice to say, teams will be making weighty roster decisions in the coming days, weeks and months. Last offseason was one of the busiest in years. Can 2023 top it? Here's a look at all the unrestricted free agents around the league, each team's salary cap situation, and the top positional needs for each franchise:Unrestricted free agents: (G), (K), (RT), (CB), (RG), Nike Vigil (LB), (LB), (P) Ozzie Smith Jersey , (LB), (DT), (RB), (CB), (RG), (S), (TE), (S), (LS), (LG), (TE), (DT), (LB), (WR), (LB), (C), (CB), (RT), (RB), (QB), (DT), (C0, (RT)Projected cap space:$32.6MTeam needs:EDGE, CB, OTThe will be revamping their defense under new head coach Jonathan Gannon, so cornerback will be a top priority in free agency. The situation will rear its ugly head as Arizona may move on from its No. 1 wide receiver. A revamp of the position may be coming there. Unrestricted free agents: (RT), (WR), (CB), (LB), (P), (FB), (DT), (S), (WR), (RT), (LG), (LS), (WR), (CB), (DT), (LB), (TE), (TE), (RG), (CB), (DT), (LT), (CB), Lorenzo Carter (EDGE)Projected cap space:$62.9MTeam needs:QB, EDGE, CBThe Falcons will need a quarterback to compete with , so they could gauge the market for a veteran. The priority for Atlanta in free agency should be improving the pa s rush and secondary as the defense allowed the highest percentage of po se sions ending in an offensive score last season.Unrestricted free agents: (CB), (EDGE), (CB), (QB), (LT), (WR), (CB), (EDGE), (EDGE), (TE), (LB), (RB), (WR), (CB), (RB), (LG)Projected cap space:(-$3M)Team needs:WR, CB, G The Ravens will have to get the Lamar Jackson contract situation figured out, but will have to get a wide receiver -- or two -- to keep the franchise quarterback satisfied. Baltimore also needs help at cornerback if the Ravens choose not to bring Peters back.Unrestricted free agents: (S), (QB), (LB), (LB), (WR), (RG), (P), (RB), (RG), (RT), (RG), (EDGE), (LB), (WR), (S), (WR), (RB), (S), (TE), Roger Saffold (LG), Jordan Phillips (DT)Projected cap space:(-$19.2M)Team needs:S, OG, DTThe Bills are a championship contender, yet are at a cro sroads as a franchise in how to get there. Poyer should be a top priority to re-sign, along with Edmunds. Getting extra help at running back would also help out , as would better interior offensive line play. Unrestricted free agents: (QB), (RT), (C), (LB), (RB), (WR), (LS), (WR), (DT), (CB), (S0, (S), (LB), (CB), Michael Jordan (LG), (K), Matt Ioannidis (DT)Projected cap space:$22.7MTeam needs:QB, CB, EDGEDarnold is a free agent, and the Panthers figure to let him walk after moving up for the No. 1 pick in the draft. Carolina could also use another pa s rusher to pair with and more depth at cornerback with injury history. With D.J. Moore also shipped to Chicago, wide receiver could be a priority.Unrestricted free agents: (WR), (LB), (RT), (WR), (TE), (S), (LS), (LB), (S), (LB), (DT), (RG), (LG), (QB), (QB), (LB), (WR), (RB), (FB), (TE), (DT), Angelo Blackson (DT)Projected cap space: $75.2MTeam needs: OT, EDGE Having the No. 1 pick greatly benefited the Bears, who now own extra picks in addition to ex-Panthers star D.J. Moore. The Bears also have plenty of salary cap space to keep improving at wide receiver and get Fields better protection up front.Unrestricted free agents: (S), (S), (CB), (TE), (CB), (RB), (TE), (LS), (RG), (QB), (WR), (S), (LB), (RB), (LB)Projected cap space:$33.8MTeam needs:CB, S, TESafety is the biggest concern for the Bengals, as they have to work out a long-term deal with Je sie Bates III -- who played on the franchise tag this season. Bell and Apple are also free agents, making it three members of the secondary that Cincinnati may need to place. They have plenty of cap space to work with, especially with extensions coming to and soon. Unrestricted free agents: (LB), (RB), (QB), (DT), (LT), (CB), (S), D'Earnest Johnson (RB), (EDGE), (C), (TE), (LB), Jr. (LB), (TE), (LB), (LB), (LB), (LB), (RG), Jadeveon Clowney (EDGE), Anthony Walker Jr. (LB)Projected cap space:(-$14M)Team needs:DT, WR, OTThe Browns could use an upgrade at wide receiver, but will have to clear some space this offseason in order to do so. A consistent No. 2 option will help out , whose hefty contract significantly kicks in this year. They'll need help on the defensive line as well.Unrestricted free agents: (TE), (CB), Dante Fowler Jr. (EDGE), (WR), (LB), (LB), (LT), (CB), (DT), (WR), (LS), (LS), (LB), (DT), (QB), (K), (LG), (LG), (S)Projected cap space:$14.8MTeam needs:OG, DT, LB Pollard was given the franchise tag last week, while the Cowboys are likely to move on from now that he doesn't have any guaranteed money left on his contract. Dallas could also use some help on the interior of the offensive and defensive line. The Cowboys typically aren't big spenders in free agency.Unrestricted free agents: (RT), (LT), (RT), (S), (RB), (LG), (RT), (TE), (TE), (DT), Randy Jones Jersey (RB), (LB), (DT), (RB), (TE), (CB), (CB)Projected cap space:$32.8MTeam needs: OT, LB, DTThe Broncos will have some room to improve their roster, especially with Sean Payton back as the head coach -- making Denver an attractive place for free agents. Improving on the offensive line is a must this offseason, especially with the limited number of draft picks. Unrestricted free agents: (RB), (CB), (LB), (C), (LB), (LB), (S), Michael Badgley (K), (RB), (QB), (DT), (S), (S), (LT), (EDGE), (DT), (CB), D.J. Chark (WR)Projected cap space:$18.3MTeam needs:TE, CB, DTThe Lions are one of the up-and-coming teams in the league, but they need to tinker with their roster heading into the offseason. Trading opened Detroit up to a change at tight end, and cornerback is another priority after having the No. 30 pa s defense. Detroit gave up the most yards in the league last year, so the whole defense needs to improve -- building around .Unrestricted free agents:Allan Lazard (WR),(S),(S),(LB), Corey Balantine (CB),(CB),(EDGE),(S),(DT),(K),(TE),(TE),(DT),(WR)Projected cap space:$24MTeam needs:WR, TE, DT With the future ofin doubt, the Packers would like to have an answer on that sooner rather than later. Regardle s, wide receiver needs to be addre sed in free agency or the draft -- especially ifdeparts.has the makings of a star, but he needs help -- especially if Rodgers returns.Unrestricted free agents:Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (EDGE),(EDGE),(QB),(RB),(S),(RG),(CB),(LB),(CB),(LS),(WR), Scott Quesenberry (C), Kevin Pierre-Lewis (LB),(WR),(EDGE),(DT),(TE),(TE),(QB),(RB),(S)Projected cap space:$38.8MTeam needs:QB, EDGE, TEThe Texans will be seeking a franchise quarterback in the draft this offseason, while new head coachwill revamp the defense with the large amount of cap space Houston has. This team can afford to part ways with a lot of their free agents. Unrestricted free agents:(LT),(CB),(EDGE),(WR),(S),(EDGE),(RT),(WR),(S),(P),(CB),(K),(LB),(DT),(LB),(EDGE)Projected capspace:$11.9MTeam needs:QB, OT, WRThe Colts are desperate to get a quarterback this offseason, as general manager Chris Ballard will seek to find that franchise quarterback in the draft. Indianapolis can use available cap space to improve the offensive line in free agency, after it gave up 60 sacks last year (second most in NFL).Unrestricted free agents:(TE),(WR),(EDGE),(EDGE),(TE),(TE),(QB),(S),(RT), Adam Gostis (DT),(DT),(CB), Darrell Henderson (RB)Projected cap space:$6.9MTeam needs:WR, OT, OGAfter a surprising AFC South championship and a playoff berth in 2022, the future is bright for Jacksonville as the Jaguars enter year two of the Doug Pederson-Trevor Lawrence era. Re-signing Evan Engram is a top priority, along with added depth at wide receiver behindand.Unrestricted free agents:(LT),(WR),(EDGE),(DT),(RT),II (RB),(DT),(TE),(FB),(WR),(S),(RB),(S),(WR),(DT),(LG)Projected cap space:$14.3MTeam needs:WR, OT, SThe Chiefs were deep at wide receiver this year, but the Super Bowl champions could use an upgrade there. Look for a few restructured contracts to make that happen. Kansas City also needs to bring back Jerick McKinnon, who teamed up well with Isiah Pecheco during the stretch run.Unrestricted free agents:Clelin Ferrell (EDGE),(CB),(RT),(LB), Eric Hosmer Jersey (RB),(DT),(WR),(CB),(FB),(S),(RT),(LB),(DT),(RB),(CB),(DT),(EDGE),(EDGE),(S0,(DT),(C),(LB),(WR),(LB),(LT),(LG),(QB),(TE)Projected cap space:$43.7MTeam needs:OT, EDGE, LBPlenty of cap space for the Raiders as free agency approaches, enough to lure a certain quarterback from theover to Vegas. The Raiders will have to pay Jacobs in a crowded running back market if they wish, especially since he's the defending rushing champion. Vegas has a lot of free agents, but it would be better off revamping the pa s rush and improving at off-ball linebacker.Unrestricted free agents:(LB),(QB),(CB),(DT),(C),(S),(WR),(DT), Tyeler Davidson (DT),(TE),(LB),(P),(RT),(LB),(QB)Projected cap space:$19MTeam needs:OT, DT, WRThe Chargers went on their spending spree in free agency last offseason, but still have to addre s right tackle spot in order to protect. They could use more depth at wide receiver behindandtoo, along with extra insurance at running back. Protecting Herbert is the top priority.Unrestricted free agents:(QB),(K),(S),(LT),(G),(WR),(C),(P), Malcolm Dixon (RB),(CB), Matt Orzech (LS),(LB),(DT),(LG),(S), A'Shaun Robinson (DT),(CB),(RG)Projected cap space:(-$9M)Team needs:WR, EDGE, OG, CBThe Rams don't have a lot of draft picks and are in cap hell, yet have top-end talent to improve for 2023. This is another team that has to protect its quarterback if it wishes to contend for the NFC West title. Getting an edge rusher to help outwouldn't hurt either. They'll need to replace Jalen Ramsey if they deal the veteran star cornerback.Unrestricted free agents:(TE),(QB),(S),(EDGE),(CB),(LB),(LB),(TE),(RB),(EDGE),(S),(LT),(LB),(DT),(P),(LT),(RT),(WR),(CB),(LT),(RB),(DT),(WR), Michael Dieter (C),(EDGE),(RB),(LT)Projected cap space:$28.8MTeam needs:RB, TE, LBThe Dolphins will attempt to upgrade at running back to helpavoid any more concu sions, while adding extra insurance at tight end after Gesicki will surely depart. More depth at tackle wouldn't hurt Miami going forward either.Unrestricted free agents:(C),(K),(QB),(CB),Jr. (TE),(DT),(LS),(CB),(LG),(RB), Olisaemeka Udoh (LT),(CB), Olabisi Johnson (WR),(DT), Patrick Peterson (CB)Projected cap space:(-$7.4M)Team needs:OG, LB, CBAnother year the Vikings need to improve the offensive line, specifically with Garrett Bradbury hitting free agency. Minnesota needs to make it a priority to bring Bradbury back to salvage an offensive line that did improve in 2022, yet needs to be better. Finding some help at cornerback and more depth at wide receiver wouldn't hurt.Unrestricted free agents:(WR),(CB),(WR),(RT),(WR),(S),(S),(RT),(CB),(DT),(DT), Chase Headley Jersey (P),(LB),(LS),(RG),(LG),(RB),(LB),(S)Projected cap space:$30.9MTeam needs:WR, DT, LBThe Patriots have plenty of cap space to improve at wide receiver in free agency or a trade, although the best free agent wideout is Jakobi Meyers. Perhaps they keep Meyers and make a trade for a wideout, as this team needs to help outin the worst way.Unrestricted free agents:(WR),(QB),(CB),(DT),(S),(RB),(S),(EDGE), Chris Harris Jr. (CB),(S),(TE),(CB),(RB),(LT),(LB),(WR),(LB),(WR),(DT), Deonte Hardy (WR),(EDGE),(EDGE)Projected cap space:(-$25.3M)Team needs:EDGE, WRThe Saints won't be looking for a quarterback this offseason after acquiring Derek Carr. Their cap situation remains a me s once again. Look for many of cap cutting moves to get New Orleans under the cap in the next few weeks, as it has a lot of work to do.Unrestricted free agents:(RB),(QB),(C),(LG),(WR),(DT),(RB),(LS), (EDGE), Nicholas Williams (DT),(S),(S),(P),(WR),(LB),(CB),(LB),(WR),(WR),(EDGE),(S)Projected cap space:$16.2MTeam needs:WR, TE, QBThis offseason for the Giants is simple: What will they do besides retaining Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley? They have to improve the offensive line while adding talent in the pa s-catching department. New York has a lot of work to do.Unrestricted free agents:(LT),(C),(DT),(QB),(LG),(S),(QB),(DT),(K),(RG),(EDGE),(LB),(RT),(LT),(RG),(DT),(LG),(FB),(LB),(RB)Projected cap space:$13.8MTeam needs:QB, OT, OGThequestion remains, especially with Nathaniel Hackett hired as the offensive coordinator: If the Jets can't acquire Rodgers, what is their backup plan? They also need help on the offensive line, hopingcan recover from his fractured kneecap.Unrestricted free agents:(LT),(DT),(DT),(RB),(WR),(RB),(P),(S),(CB),(QB),(S),(LB),(LB),(DT),(EDGE),(DT),(LG)Projected cap space:$6.6MTeam needs:CB, RB, SThe Eagles have plenty of high-profile free agents this offseason -- and won't re-sign them all. Bradberry will be the biggest free agent available, but Gardner-Johnson is expected to be a priority. Hargrave could get a huge contract in free agency, so he could fall out of their price range. Sanders may not be back wither with a deep running back cla s in free agency.Unrestricted free agents:(DT),(QB),(LB),(DT),(FB),(DT),(LB), Terrell Edumonds (S),(LB),(EDGE),(S), Trenton Scott (RT),(S),(WR),(RB),(TE),(CB),(RT)Projected cap space:$10.4MTeam needs:OT, OG, DTThe Steelers will have to work on protectingthis offseason, as their offensive line has been a problem over the last few years. They need a franchise left tackle in this draft, while needing to clear up some cap space in free agency. They typically aren't players in March.Unrestricted free agents:(QB), Samson Ekubam (EDGE),(CB),(RT),(LB),(K),(RG),(DT),(EDGE),(TE),(QB), Tashaun Gibson (S),(DT),(LS),(TE),(EDGE), Jake Brandel (C),(DT),(TE),(CB), Tavarius Moore (S),(EDGE),(S)Projected cap space:$6.7MTeam needs:OT, CB, DTObviously the 49ers will have to make a decision at quarterback, as Jimmy Garoppolo isn't coming back in 2023. San Francisco could use some help on the offensive line with Mike McGlinchey as a free agent, perhaps even upgrading at right tackle. San Francisco could use a No. 1 cornerback as well.Unrestricted free agents:(DT),(RB),(C),(QB),(S),(EDGE),(LG),(LB),(CB),(QB),(WR),(LG),(EDGE),(CB),(LS),(S), Carson Ticker (LS),(WR),(CB),(FB), Tez Tabor (CB), Lody Barton (LB),(RB), Darryl Johnson Jr. (EDGE)Projected cap space:$20.2MTeam needs:DT, QB, OGThe Seahawks were one of the surprise teams last season, and have the cap space to get better. Do they look to draft a franchise quarterback with their Johnny Manziel Jersey top-10 pick from the, even after re-signing Geno Smith? Regardle s, Seattle will have cap space to improve its offensive line.Unrestricted free agents:(DT),(QB),(TE),(CB),(LG),(WR),(RB),(LT),(DT),(EDGE),(S),(S),(LB),(DT),(CB),(S),(EDGE), Scotty Miller (WR),(LB),(DT),(WR),(DT)Projected cap space:(-$5.6M)Team needs:QB, EDGE, CBThe Buccaneers will need to retain Dean or find an alternative at cornerback to pair withnext season. Then there's the whole replacingafter he retired (again) i sue. Tampa Bay is in for a long offseason.Unrestricted freeagents:(RG),Jr. (CB),(LS),(EDGE),(LB),(RB),(WR),(CB),Jr. (DT),(RB),(LB),(EDGE),(QB),(S),(C),(CB),(RT), Joseph Jones (LB), Davontae Adams (CB),(EDGE),(WR),(S),(RG),(DT),(WR),(LB),(TE),(TE),(S)Projected cap space:$17MTeam needs:WR, OT, TEWide receiver is the position the Titans have to upgrade this offseason, especially for a franchise that has to get the most out of-- who doesn't have a guaranteed salary this year. Perhaps the Titans move on from Tannehill, but that's unlikely since he is their best option and they don't appear to be in the quarterback market.Unrestricted free agents:(RG), Da'Ron Payne (DT),(RG),(WR),(QB),(EDGE),(C),(LB),(LB),(RB),(CB),(LB),(C),(LG),(LB)Projected cap space:$15.5MTeam needs:QB, CB, LBThe Commanders will have to addre s the quarterback position over the coming weeks, as they haven't found a long term answer sincedeparted five seasons ago. Daron Payne will be in high demand, so improving the defensive interior may be on the shopping list. Improving the secondary will also be crucial for Washington to compete in the NFC East.
