Introduction
What is a Headlight Control Module?
A Headlight Control Module also known as a headlight switch module, is an electronic control unit found in the fuse box or wiring harness of vehicles. Its main purpose is to operate and switch the headlights, running lights, turn signals and other exterior lighting systems based on input from various sensors and switches.
The module receives power directly from the vehicle's battery. It then processes signals from the headlight switch, wipers, rain/light sensors and other inputs to determine the appropriate lighting conditions. Based on these inputs, it will turn on the low or high beams, side markers, parking lights, fog lights and more as needed.
