I really don't think so. If their main client base is African American is does not make sense to market to them right now. As they won't be spending right now, as games is not on there heads right now. Not about honor imo. More or less they not going to the shops immediately to make purchases. I'll preface this by saying I do not think it's a bad thing for them to bring awareness to this situation. It is important that it can not only be ignored by looking away from it. With that said, I do possess a certain amount of doubt towards multi-billion buck multinational corporations paying lip service to significant social problems. They are in the best possible place to do more than just put out a press release or public announcement. Obviously, as a capitalist business they're under no obligation to do so, and it rings hollow when they attempt to stand in solidarity with the common people. Now there are companies out there that are doing things and this is the opportunity to emphasize those attempts; to demonstrate that they're more than simply words.
I'd normally agree in the case of paying lip service to social issues without also placing money and support to advocate for change or applying it to the organization and their job at the very least. That said police brutality is not just something that a company like EA throwing cash at the problem does considerably towards fixing. At best they put money towards the lawyers and groups that fight to see justice after the truth or lobby to have laws changed that at the present government won't.
