EA waits Madden NFL 21 reveal trailer in solidarity with BLM protests
it is a logical decision by EA. Even if they are only after political points. The NFL and Madden have a sizable African American fandom, combined with being basically a US exclusive merchandise with minimal global appeal. Not the best time to fall advice when one of Madden 21 coins your biggest demographics & just market is to literal fire. From an advertising/marketing point, theyve done this numerous times (smaller scale) for Battlefront 2. The CM said theyre seeking to make the most spalsh as you can. If folks are outside protesting = less audiences. And furthermore, lower internet engagement. On most social websites it is not possible to talk about anything but the protests right now. They want people talking about the reveal but that could be spelled out by the much bigger news right now. Picking a side of this fence means likely alienating a few investors, board members, partners and clients. Consumers see EA for some of the dumb shit they do with matches that they develop and release, but they do not see what they do for triggers such as equality and workplace diversity (they've actually been awarded in numerous years). They are really super innovative internally and should be praised for that. It is simple to be cynical about this sort of thing, but they might just have easily prevented making a statement. Yo, thanks for sharing this info. Regardless of how people feel about their matches we should praise them for their progressive activities. I'm surprised that I'm simply NOW hearing about this. I really want the gambling community would step up and start caring a lot more about stuff like this.
Unfortunately, the gaming community appears to be filled with racist and sexist people. Reddit too, but you wouldn't delete your accounts because some people are morons. Exactly the same way that you wouldn't burn your passport as a few people in your country are brain-dead. Reddit as well, but you wouldn't delete your account because some people are morons. I came really close to doing that. I've basically boxed myself into a very small corner of reddit I never depart. It is an issue that's only very prevalent concerning people playing them. The games sector itself is actually incredibly progressive. Super innovative? Perhaps you have forgotten that already? EA did a good here by taking the side of individuals standing up to tyranny. They can claim to be as progressive as they need, but their internal work culture is completely cut-throat, betray your best friend to get a bonus along with a sports car, internally sabotage your competitors project, kinda civilization. It's actually pretty well known in Brazil, particularly on TV, in terms of evaluations it clearly loses out to football by a pretty wide margin, but I would say it's on par with the NBA, Tennis and Formula 1 . For the previous years cinemas have even started to demonstrate the Super Bowl in theaters live since it's a fairly big event.
However, it is not a popular sport for most folks to play since it demands a lot of gear, but there are amateur soccer and/or flag football teams in every town and most universities. I myself played for 5+ years and then coached my college's team for two decades. Who cares why they are doing it, can we respect that they are doing something? I imagine they already sent media coverage material to various books in preparation of launching which trailer, and rather they are most likely spending a great deal of time sending emails to buy Mut 21 coins state they're delaying it. Edit: Seeing a great deal of opinions that are such as: Properly they do nothing. To that, I will just answer, they might still do less by simply silently pushing back any proposed trailer reveals, which this remains a company twitter which means someone needed to find the tweet accepted on a certain level, which means someone did something. It's not a lot, but again... Nevertheless something.
