Challenges in Printed Electronics Manufacturing

Other issues include lack of standardized materials, processes and design kits. Environmental, health and safety regulations also need to be established for new conductive inks and solvents. Adhesion between printed layers and substrates is another reliability challenge that needs addressing. For commercial success, printed devices need to demonstrate long-term stability, flexibility, reproducibility and performance comparable to existing non-printed solutions.
