These kinds of abilities are in their worst when you're losing money on the offer. They feel like a second job you have to cover. Various other skills, such as Agility, feel incongruous. Agility enables you to access time-saving shortcuts around the Earth, but you train it by running circles round rote obstacle courses. Agility is lively and helpful in activity, but training it's a chore that's completely divorced from what you really use the skill for rs accounts.
I want to see more abilities follow the model of my favorite skill, Slayer, which is about killing creatures assigned by Slayer masters. Slayer makes training your combat skills more enjoyable by taking you around Runescape, and because it makes you fight a lot of distinct monsters, you receive item drops which fuel a variety of non-combat skills--gems for Crafting, seeds such as Farming, metal bars for Smithing.
I'd really like to find that sort of diversity come to abilities such as Herblore and Agility, and I'd like to see more abilities interact with other abilities, like how I trained Woodcutting while leveling Hunter. Efficiency is fun, and Runescape is at its finest when you are not stuck doing one 2007 runescape accounts.
Happily, some of Old School Runescape's latest updates introduced minigames that help liven up otherwise boring abilities like Cooking and Firemaking. And while some abilities are still dull to train, they're at least more worthwhile thanks to the addition of skill-gated regional diaries which give you a globetrotting to-do list--kill this creature, speak to this NPC, finish this exploration, craft this item and so on.
