How to wash and care for wigs?
The cleaning and care of the wig is divided into the following 7 procedures: combing the wig → washing in warm water → rinsing → caring for the wig fiber → natural air drying → combing and styling → storage of the wig.
Here are the details of each program:
Comb the wig: Before washing the hair, gently comb the wig with a wide tooth comb and untie the knotted hair to ensure that the hair is smooth.
Wash with warm water: Pour warm water into a shampoo basin and add an appropriate amount of mild shampoo. Place the wig gently in the water and run your fingers over the hair strands, but do not rub them to avoid tangles or damage.
Rinse: Remove the wig from the shampoo and rinse it with water until the shampoo is completely removed. You can add some conditioner to keep the wig soft.
Hair fiber care: Choose the right hair care product according to the hair material. For synthetic wigs, use a specialized wig treatment spray or hair conditioner spray and lightly spray onto the hair strands. For human hair wigs, normal hair products can be used.
Natural air drying: Gently wrap the washed wig with a towel, absorb excess water, and then put it in a ventilated place to air dry. Avoid using a hair dryer or direct exposure to the sun to avoid damaging the wig fibers.
Grooming and styling: After the wig is completely dry, gently comb it with a wide tooth comb, starting from the ends of the hair and gradually combing up. If styling is required, use the appropriate wig styling product and follow the instructions.
Store wigs: When wigs are not in use, store them in a dry and ventilated box or dustproof bag to avoid rubbing or twisting them with other items.
It should be noted that each wig brand and material may have different cleaning and care requirements, please follow the product instructions to operate. In addition, frequent washing and excessive use of hot tools will reduce the life of the wig, so wash and care for the wig moderately.
