Grinding Gear Games has announced the Path of Exile 3.25 update, titled Settlers of Kalguur, set to launch on July 26th, 2024. This update introduces a variety of new content and enhancements for the game.

During GGG Live, the latest expansion for Path of Exile, Settlers of Kalguur, was detailed. Scheduled for release on July 26th, 2024, the expansion includes a new Challenge League, updates to two Ascendancy classes, game balance adjustments, endgame content improvements, and numerous quality-of-life features for both PC and console players.

One of the highlighted features in Path of Exile: Settlers of Kalguur is the new Challenge League, which involves assisting Kalguuran settlers in building the town of Kingsmarch. Players will be tasked with mining exotic resources, hiring and protecting skilled workers, constructing and defending the town, and establishing a harbor for trade. Once the town is built and trade is underway, players can engage in the Currency Trade Market to buy and sell POE Currency and other stackable items, as well as craft and recombine powerful weapons and items using the Runesmithing table.

In addition to the Challenge League, the Ascendancy Classes are getting updates. The Warden class will replace the Raider class, focusing on elemental attacks, damage mitigation, and the use of Tinctures found throughout the game. The Gladiator class will continue to specialize in Bleeding and Block, with a new skill set focused on Retaliation, allowing for powerful counterattacks after meeting certain conditions in combat.

The Settlers of Kalguur expansion will also bring significant balance changes. These changes will impact Melee Skills, Block, Rage, Warcries, Banners, Bleed, Impale, new Base Types for Endgame, enhanced Modifiers for Endgame items, and increased Critical Strike Chances on weapons. Endgame content will see updates, including changes to many Scarabs, the addition of a 6th Map Device Slot, new encounters for Tier 16 and Tier 17 maps, and updates to Blights and Rituals. Additionally, new Chisel types will be introduced, and the drop rate for Valdos Puzzle Boxes will be increased.

Console players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will also receive updates with the Settlers of Kalguur expansion. These updates will optimize the game for the latest consoles, reducing loading times, enhancing visual fidelity with high-resolution textures and water effects, improving dynamic resolution with a new upscaling algorithm, and adding an extra anti-aliasing pass.

Grinding Gear Games has also announced the first Closed Beta Test for Path of Exile 2.

Path of Exile: Settlers of Kalguur is set to release on July 26th, 2024, at 1 PM PDT for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
