The enthralling green-colored crystal, Green Amethyst, is also popular as prasiolite. Prasiolite is made up of two ancient Greek origin words; they are prason, which means ‘leek’, and lithos, which means ‘stone’. Due to its green tint, which resembles a leek and hexagonal prismatic shape, the gemstone acquires this name.
