Danish cyclist Solbjörk Minke Anderson will miss the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The reason was a serious injury she recently received - the girl was hit by a car during training on the road.

According to the Danish Cycling Union, there were no life-threatening injuries. However, 19-year-old Anderson suffered a broken collarbone, which put an end to her hopes of going to Paris.

"The Olympics remain a dream for me," the girl wrote in her personal blog on social networks.

Anderson posted a photo after the injury, where she wished good luck to her teammates on the national team. It is known that the accident with her participation occurred in her homeland during the period of active preparation for leaving for Paris.

Anderson was supposed to participate in the 2024 Olympics in the road race as part of the Danish team. Her place was given to two-time champion of this country Rebecca Kerner. The Paris Olympics will be held from July 26 to August 11. The road cycling competitions will be held from July 27 to August 4.
