You are printing a photo, or maybe a solid color as a background, and then printing foil on top of it. If so, then our best recommendation for this type of design is to use our silk paper option, as it provides the most uniform texture and surface, making printed images and colors look their best.
If your design uses the natural look and color of the paper, for example, the design is pure white paper with only foil printing, then we would say choose uncoated. For this type of foil printing, we recommend using uncoated paper as it has a nice subtle texture but is also a clean white tone, while silk paper is warmer white.
