Ravindra Jadeja Joins BJP: Indian cricket team's star all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, has taken a break from the cricket field, including the ongoing Duleep Trophy starting from 5th September. During this time away, Jadeja has made a significant move by entering politics. He has officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Along with spending time with his family, this marks a new chapter in his career as he transitions from sports to politics.

Wife Shares BJP Membership Certificate

Ravindra Jadeja's wife, Rivaba Jadeja, shared their BJP membership certificates, announcing that the star cricketer had officially joined the party under the nationwide membership drive launched by the ruling BJP in Gujarat and across India. While Rivaba renewed her membership, Ravindra Jadeja, for the first time, became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Rivaba shared the photos of both their membership certificates on X (formerly Twitter). Earlier, in 2022, Ravindra had campaigned for his wife during the Gujarat elections.

After India's T20 World Cup victory in June, Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from the T20 format and has since stayed away from cricket. He was also not included in the ODI series against Sri Lanka last month.

Withdrawal from Duleep Trophy

Though selected to play in the Duleep Trophy starting Thursday, Jadeja withdrew from the tournament a week before its commencement. Upon his request, the selection committee granted him a break. Currently, Jadeja is focusing on spending time with his family and pursuing other personal endeavors.
