This will be the ninth major update which will be released on September 11th. The major update consists of the new Crucible of Justice main quest, Vanguard co-op mode, and three new Legendary Gems.
Crucible of Justice
Crucible is a part of the main story of the game. It is the next chapter of Diablo Immortal's main questline. However, you have to achieve some requirements to enter the chapter. It is only available to those who have completed the final leg of the Southern Dreadlands main quest, No Salvation.
In this segment, the shattering of the Worldstone has rendered your character incapable of wielding the formidable sword El’druin , which was once in the hands of the archangel Tyrael. To combat the rising darkness, your journey takes you to the cold isles, the domain of the tempests. Players have opportunities to explore more plots of the game, immersing in this chapter.
Vanguard co-op mode
In addition to some updates in the plot, the game release vanguard co-op mode to improve the players' experience. You can eliminate enemies in teams of 4 in a variety of objective-based runs. Your team's mission objectives depend on the difficulty level of the Vanguard you are playing. There are different difficulty level in this mode.
Some objectives unlocked only at higher tiers. Beyond the missions, players can harness Vanguard Skills, which are specialized abilities designed to boost combat effectiveness. These skills fall into four main categories: Might, Bane, Defense, and Heal. By participating in Vanguard runs, you can collect Vanguard Charms that allow you to level up these skills. You have the option to enhance the charms through gameplay or deconstruct them into shards, which can then be used to improve other charms.
New Legendary Gems
What's more, there will be three new legendary gems in the update, waiting for players to discover. The name of the gems are: Wulfheort, Cold Confidant, and Entropic Well. The five-star gem, Wulfheort, offers a substantial increase in offensive capabilities, enhancing damage and attack speed. The two-star gem, Cold Confidant, generates an icy pillar that slows down foes while inflicting damage. Lastly, the one-star gem, Entropic Well, boosts both skill damage and attack speed.
The good news is that you have a unique opportunity to adjust the drop table, enhancing your chances to acquire Wulfheort. The event will be from September 11 to October 2, 2024.
