As autumn settles in, it brings a mix of warmth and chill that, while not my favorite season, has its unique charm. The crisp weather, the excitement of Halloween, and the new TV shows provide plenty of joy. After a few months without sharing my favorite finds, I’ve gathered a diverse list to share with you. Here are some of the highlights from my September 2021.

Cozy Finds for My Furry Friend

Recently, I visited HomeGoods and discovered a charming resin wicker pet house bed for my dog, Nahla. She adores it! In fact, getting her out of her new cozy spot has become a challenge. I placed her bed right next to my office desk so she can stay close while I work, making it the perfect setup for both of us.

Movie Night Magic

For a cozy stay-at-home date night, my husband and I decided to watch a film called Really Love on Netflix, featuring Kofi Siriboe and Yooth Wong-Loi-Sing. The story beautifully explores the romance between a struggling artist and an ambitious law student. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend giving it a watch. Family Movie Night Tradition

Every Friday is dedicated to Family Movie Night at our house. A month ago, we enjoyed Vivo, a delightful film that my ten-year-old son absolutely loved. This animated feature not only tackles themes of grief but also boasts a fantastic soundtrack filled with Latin music, courtesy of Lin Manuel Miranda. It’s a movie that had us swaying in our seats!

Stylish Desk Accessories

I recently purchased a wooden perpetual desk calendar from Amazon, and I can’t get enough of its modern and stylish design. It adds a touch of sophistication to my workspace and often appears in the B-roll footage of my YouTube videos. It’s a simple yet functional addition that I’m proud to showcase.

Back-to-School Shopping Wins

With the back-to-school season upon us, my son needed some new shirts. I found a couple of cool graffiti-style shirts on Amazon at an affordable price. The quality was impressive, and I was thrilled to get two shirts for the price of one, making it a win-win situation!

Sneaker Style

Sneakers are a shared passion in our family. My husband recently picked up a pair of Converse sneakers inspired by the legendary graffiti artist Basquiat. They’re visually striking, and I can’t wait to see how he styles them.

Exciting Footwear for School

Speaking of sneakers, my son was thrilled to receive a pair of Jordan 12 sneakers to add to his school wardrobe. He also picked up some stylish Vans to mix things up, ensuring he’s ready to make a statement this school year.

Keeping Safety First

As we navigate in-person schooling this year, I’ve had my fair share of worries. To ease my mind, I’ve invested in KN-95 masks for kids. While they are a bit pricey, providing my child with the best protection is my priority. It’s a small comfort amidst the uncertainty.

Caring for My Pup

My dog recently developed a pesky scar on her face that she wouldn’t stop scratching, which made the wound worse. To help her heal, I bought an inflatable dog collar from HomeGoods. Although she wasn’t a fan, it did the job, and I’m happy to report her scar is nearly gone now.

Family Time on the Screen

Lastly, I have to mention Family Reunion, which just released its fourth season! This show has quickly become a family favorite, allowing us to bond over its heartwarming episodes. What’s your go-to show for family viewing?
