What is an OEM Peristaltic Pump?

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. In the context of peristaltic pumps, an OEM product refers to a pump that is manufactured by one company (the OEM) specifically for another company to incorporate into their own finished product.

How does OEM peristaltic pump work?

· Customization: The company that needs the peristaltic pump (often the end product manufacturer) provides the OEM with specific requirements, such as flow rate, pump head, motor type, and other technical specifications.

· Manufacturing: The OEM then manufactures the peristaltic pump according to these exact specifications.

· Integration: The finished peristaltic pump is integrated into the end product, becoming a critical component.

A common example:

A blood dialysis machine is a great example. The company that manufactures the dialysis machine will outsource the production of the peristaltic pump to a specialized pump manufacturer. The pump manufacturer will create a custom pump that meets the exact needs of the dialysis machine. This custom pump is then integrated into the dialysis machine, becoming an essential part of the overall system.
