We're a month away from Elden Ring's launch, likely the most Souls-like from FromSoftware so to date, and the action-RPG is still top of folks their minds. It's on my list, even if I managed to leave in the Lands Between briefly to Elden Ring Runes play Ghostwire: Tokyo. I love the characters and world of Elden Ring, but I've never imagined them appearing in Tekken 7. Well, that itch--if there ever was one - has been scratched off by a moderator who thought it would be cool to see people like Melina and Radahn fight in a different manner.
Modders named Ultraboy has decided to alter a few Tekken 7 characters with folks who you fight in Elden Ring. Named "The ultimate Elden Ring Mod," and available on the site Tekken Mods, it swaps standard fighters like Kunimitsu and Lidia with Malenia and Melina respectively. The Starscourge Radahn too is included (as as the wrestler Marduk) as well as the Ethereal Stall Torrent (replacing Kazumi's Tiger) together with the other four Elden Ring characters.
Check out the video above. Did you have "Ranni the Witch smashing the shit out of a Tarnished in the Raging Wolf armor set" on your bingo card? Sure, I did not. Bandai Namco published both games which means you can expand your mind to suggest there are "lore motives" for the two worlds that cross. It wouldn't be Tekken's first crossover, and definitely isn't the first game's mod. Even so, I'm mildly distressed to think that Radahn can now kick my a$$ on the two games, Elden Ring and Tekken.
Because the mod's design is crazy, it's attracted the notice to Tekken producers and director Katsuhiro Harada, who's been tweeting about it in an apparent positive manner. However, it also appears he's a bit exhausted of the numerous "misunderstandings" that result when players play with mods, and then complain about bizarre "bugs" to buy Elden Ring Items Namco Bandai's support team.
