Concentrated solar power (CSP) refers to solar thermal power generation technologies that use mirrors or lenses to concentrate sunlight onto receivers that collect the solar energy. This energy is then used to heat a fluid to high temperatures which in turn is used to drive a steam turbine and generate electricity, or can be stored for later use. The four main types of CSP systems are parabolic troughs, linear Fresnel reflectors, power towers, and dish/engine systems.
