The working part of die-casting mould is also called forming part, which mainly includes convex die-casting mould, concave die, convex and concave die, etc.As stamping has cold and hot stamping, the stamping process is divided into separation process (punching) and forming process (bending, drawing and forming).During the work of the separation procedure, except for those required to separate the material
Besides stamping force, it also bears strong friction with material section.During the working process of forming, in addition to the stamping force required for the plastic deformation of the material, the die-casting mould surface is also subject to strong friction caused by the plastic flow of the material. Therefore, it is required that the working parts of the die-casting mould have high strength and hardness, which are impact-resistant and wear-resistant.In the case of dies used when the material is heated, the working parts also require heat resistance, so as to guarantee the durability and service life of the dies.
According to the above requirements of the die-casting mould, the working part of the die is usually made of carbon tool steel or alloy tool steel. For high-speed stamping or dies requiring long life, the working part can be made of cemented carbide.
