Types of Instrumentation Cable

- Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP): Commonly used to transmit low-voltage analog signals in less demanding environments. UTP cable has two insulated conductors twisted together without an overall shield.
- Shielded Twisted Pair (STP): Provides more protection against electromagnetic interference than UTP. STP Instrumentation Cable has two twisted conductors covered with an individual foil or braided shield, plus an overall shield.
