Is 2k play fun to playwith? Yes. Can it be a fantastic basketball simulator? No. Is madden enjoyable? Yes. Can it be a football simulator? Madden for most of its defects does accomplish being exactly what it proves to be, a football simulator that is passable. Place it on the highest difficulty and you cant throw lazily into double coverage, you can't plow through the whole group on the blitz to select up 8 yards onto an HB draw. It plays constant. Does it also copy and paste large portions of their game from 1 game to the next until its a pale shadow of itself? Yes.
Last year was my first year of trying Madden multiplayer, and not long after becoming it a glitch happened with a animation that is particular. There was one special tackle where the player being handled would still kind of stumble 3-4 yards after being hit before falling into the ground. After a patch this cartoon would play non stop. Someone a lawn short? Well the player get a first down and would stumble forward. If the guy was clotheslined by me out of the front didn't matter. Fall ahead. Top that with everyone and they're mom just using the same 4'glitchy' (fuckin hate that term) plays they saw on youtube and it wasn't enjoyable. I will maintain the concept that playing solo and performing ultimate team that way is enjoyable. But holy hell online was a horrible experience.
I'm not saying Madden is totally unenjoyable, but Madden is more rage-inducing and frustrating than really fun. Now granted, I don't play Madden, so I don't know how bad they have it, but 2K has caused me to nearly break my control on too many occasions for me to buy Madden 20 coins commend it. There is far, far, far too many scripted sequences, oversights, and egocentric approaches in the newer games for me to compliment it as much as I probably should.
