The ratings for yesterday's top rookies were revealed. Penei Sewell, Detroit Lions first round selection, was one of the players who Mut 22 coins earned their first ever Madden rating.
Sewell's overall rating of 75 makes Sewell one of the highest-rated offensive linemen in the rookie class. It's not a surprise since the highly desired Oregon product was also the very first to be drafted. Atlanta's tight end Kyle Pitts, the fourth selection of the current NFL Draft, leads the way for this rookie class with an 81 overall rating at the time of its launch. Sewell was among two players chosen following Sewell: DeVonta Smith from Philadelphia and Patrick Surtain II from Denver.
In the previous year it was the Lions First-round draft selection Jeff Okudah received a general rating of 76. After an injury-prone year it will be interesting to know how he is rated in Madden this year.
