Vinyl acetate monomer is an ester of vinyl alcohol and acetic acid. It is mostly used as an intermediate in the synthesis of polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), polyvinyl alcohol, ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers, and other copolymers.
