Stalled Progress in Gujarat
As of now, only 630 kilometres of the total 1,386-kilometre expressway are operational. These include sections like Sohna-Dausa-Sawai Madhopur and Jhalawar-MP/Gujarat border. The delay can be primarily attributed to land acquisition issues in Gujarat, despite proactive measures taken by the state government. Bidding for two crucial segments totaling 62 kilometres in Gujarat commenced only in November 2023. Construction began on one stretch in April 2024, while work on the other just started this month.
