Naturally, you should get your car serviced at the stated intervals to ensure it stays in good working order. It can also affect your warranty if you don’t. So, while the warranty and capped-price servicing are good, it does mean you have to stick pretty closely to recommended service intervals.
Older vehicles outside of warranty
On the other hand, a slightly older car that no longer has a warranty or capped price servicing comes with a little more freedom. You’ve got the choice of whether to service it at the prescribed intervals or not. While we would never recommend skipping a service, we do appreciate that every person’s financial situation is different and it’s not always possible.
