So, while the warranty and capped-price servicing are good, it does mean you have to stick pretty closely to recommended service intervals.
Older vehicles outside of warranty
On the other hand, a slightly older car that no longer has a warranty or capped price servicing comes with a little more freedom. You’ve got the choice of whether to service it at the prescribed intervals or not. While we would never recommend skipping a service, we do appreciate that every person’s financial situation is different and it’s not always possible.
