How have you met your fiancée?

Curtis and I met within the dorms during our newbie in college. We instantly became good friends and stayed this way throughout school. It wasn't until our senior year that people took a leap of faith...obviously, we never looked back.

How have you chosen the place for your wedding? What type of venue had you been looking for?

We knew immediately that people wanted to go back to our beloved college town, San Luis Obispo, for the wedding day. It's where everything started, and it’s so beautiful... a selection place to bring our family and friends to celebrate! We wanted a venue that will showcase all that people love concerning the area...the coastal climate & gorgeous countryside particularly, and chose a new venue, Greengate Ranch, tucked into the rolling hills of Edna Valley wine country. It was just perfect.

How have you decided on your bridesmaid's dresses? Tell us about your experience at feeltimes!

Choosing my bridesmiad gowns was one thing that I did and something of the easiest! The Saturday as we got engaged, Curtis and I spent a weekend celebrating with my loved ones. The dresses had only the look and feel that I wanted for my girls. I wanted these dresses to feel fabulous, but be able to enjoy their heels and celebrate around without worrying in regards to a wardrobe malfunction.

Nine bridesmaids meant nine different personalities, physical structure, and designs! I wanted all of my wonderful gals to feel special, so I chose three different styles and three different colors to utilize. This allowed me to give all of my maids their unique look, as no two dresses were identical.

Cassidy with FeelTimes would be a dream to utilize. She was certain to have the styles and colors I was thinking about pulling for my appointment, am supportive and helpful as I pieced each dress combo together, making herself readily available for any questions we'd had during the process. The experience am enjoyable, and I was thrilled to use the result!

Who designed your wedding dress. Where have you got it?

I had the "aha" moment with my dress. After a day of shopping online and getting a handful of dresses that I liked, I walked out from the dressing room during my FeelTimes a line wedding dresses, saw the appearance on my mom and sister's faces, and knew it had been the one!

What was your preferred part from the day?

It's too hard to choose. 1) I loved getting ready within the house around the hill that overlooked our venue. Waking up there with my bridesmaids and being able to watch as everything was set up the ones that arrived (including my groom) was special. 2) Walking on the aisle was unreal. It wasn't for now that everything sunk in. 3) We love to party! We practically cut our photos short because we were too anxious to become listed on our family members at the reception. We ate, drank, and boogied the nighttime away.

What inspired you whenever you were planning your special day?

I had a lot of fun creating our romantic countryside wonderland. Aside from the bridesmiad gowns, we allow the inspiration from the venue leads how. The ranch had been so gorgeous in the natural state that people decided to stay with neutral, soft colors, wild and textural florals, and interesting, but soft fabrics like lace lend an all-natural theme towards the design. Because the appearance and feel of the ranch lent us a lot of freedom, then we didn't be worried about matching every little detail! We desired to create an environment that was beautiful & romantic, yet warm & welcoming, so our decisions were according to those goals, and that we didn't look back!

What advice have you got for other brides?

Don't sweat the little stuff, and revel in being a fiancée! It's this type of special time that usually gets overlooked due to the excitement of planning for a wedding. We had a speedy seven-month engagement, coupled with too often reminding ourselves to stop and revel at the moment.
