Resolution 1: Copying the Company Files to other computer

  • Move the company file from the current computer to another system using an external storage device.
  • If the file opens without any trouble on the other system, it suggests that there are issues within the previous system. Diagnose and fix any system issues or viruses.

Resolution 2: Using QuickBooks File Doctor

  • The initial step requires downloading and installing QuickBooks Tool Hub from the website of Intuit.
  • Subsequent to that, the user needs to run the tool and soon after, proceed to the QuickBooks File Doctor tab in the Company File issues tab.
  • Now, proceed by browsing and opting for the suspected company file.
  • Run a thorough scan and let the tool diagnose and fix any existential technical issues confronting the company files.
  • Subsequent to the foregoing steps, the user is required to close Tools Hub and run QuickBooks to check if QuickBooks Error 4120 is resolved.

Resolution 3: Update Windows

  • Proceed by clicking on the Start button and thereafter, type “Update”.
