Aion 2 Leveling Guide: Best Methods to Boost Your Power Early

Focus on the Main Story First

The yellow Main Story Questline is still the core of efficient leveling. It gives the biggest EXP rewards, decent starter gear, and a steady flow of currency. Most of your early levels will come naturally just by following the campaign.

However, the important part is knowing when to pause the story temporarily.

If a boss suddenly feels too tanky or starts deleting your health bar, that usually means your combat power is lagging behind your level. Instead of brute forcing the fight, take time to strengthen your character through nearby side activities.

A good rhythm looks like this:

  • Push the yellow quests as far as possible
  • Stop when difficulty spikes
  • Clear nearby regional content
  • Upgrade gear and stats
  • Return to the story stronger

This loop is far more efficient than repeatedly dying to progression bosses.

Do Regional Quests While Traveling

A lot of players skip green and blue quests because they seem optional. Early on, they are actually extremely important.

Regional quests reward many of the systems tied directly to combat power growth:

  • Daevanion tokens
  • Equipment pieces
  • Titles
  • Enhancement materials
  • Crystals

You do not need to clear every single side quest in the game, but completing the regional quests in your current leveling zone is usually worth the time.

The biggest advantage is that these quests naturally fill the gaps in your gear progression while keeping your power aligned with the story difficulty curve.

Clear Sealed Dungeons Whenever You Find Them

While exploring maps, pay attention to question mark icons on the minimap. These usually lead to sealed dungeons.

Many players underestimate these early dungeons, but they are one of the best sources of free progression materials.

Rewards often include:

  • Enhancement stones
  • Buff items
  • Crystals
  • Upgrade resources

Most sealed dungeons are short and can be completed quickly, making them one of the highest-value side activities during the leveling process.

Fill Every Gear Slot Early

One of the biggest early-game mistakes is leaving accessory slots empty.

Around levels 20 to 25, several quests begin rewarding rings, necklaces, and belts. Even basic green accessories provide a surprisingly large combat power boost.

A character with full low-rarity gear is usually much stronger than someone wearing only a few upgraded pieces.

Do not worry too much about crafting perfect equipment early on. Quest rewards are more than enough for leveling efficiently.

Your goal should simply be:

  • Fill every slot
  • Keep gear reasonably updated
  • Replace weak pieces naturally through progression

Prioritize Weapon Upgrades

When resources are limited, your weapon should always come first.

Weapon upgrades provide the largest immediate increase to damage output, which speeds up both questing and boss fights. Faster kills also mean smoother leveling overall.

For armor upgrades, avoid heavily investing into a single low-level piece. Spreading upgrades evenly is much more efficient.

For example:

  • All armor pieces at +1 is usually better than
  • One armor piece at +5 while the rest remain untouched

The resource cost rises quickly, and early equipment gets replaced often anyway.

Thankfully, Aion 2 includes a generous extraction system. If you replace upgraded gear, you can recover your enhancement materials through the dissolve or extraction feature instead of permanently losing them.

That makes experimenting with upgrades far less punishing than in many other MMORPGs.

Learn the Daevanion Board Early

The Daevanion system is one of the biggest hidden power spikes in the early game.

Crystals earned from regional quests and sealed dungeons allow you to progress through Daevanion boards, unlocking:

  • Passive stats
  • Skill improvements
  • Additional combat bonuses
  • Higher active skill levels

Many players ignore this system until much later, which slows their progression significantly.

If two players are the same level, the one actively upgrading their Daevanion board will usually feel dramatically stronger.

Collect City Feathers for Free Stats

As you move through major cities, keep an eye out for collectible feathers hidden around the environment.

These feathers can be offered to local Monolith systems for rewards such as:

  • Skill points
  • Revelation Amulet materials
  • Extra stat growth

It may seem minor at first, but these free upgrades add up quickly during the early game. They also help smooth out some of the tougher campaign encounters later on.

This is one of those progression systems veteran players tend to prioritize quietly while newer players completely overlook it.

Use Food, Potions, and Scrolls

Consumables matter much more in Aion 2 than many players expect.

If you run into a difficult story boss or elite enemy, temporary buffs can completely change the fight.

Useful consumables often provide:

  • Movement speed
  • Attack boosts
  • Critical rate
  • Health absorption
  • Survivability

Keeping a small stock of food buffs and combat scrolls saves a lot of frustration during leveling.

Instead of repeatedly retrying difficult encounters underpowered, a few consumables can help you push through immediately.

Avoid the Common Endgame Mistake

A lot of experienced players warn newer players not to waste premium currencies too early.

The progression curve changes heavily around level 45, and many systems become significantly more resource-intensive. Spending everything immediately on temporary upgrades can create a painful progression wall later.

During the early game, it is usually smarter to:

  • Upgrade efficiently
  • Avoid overinvesting in replaceable gear
  • Save valuable currencies when possible
  • Focus on systems with permanent account growth

That approach creates a much smoother transition into midgame and endgame progression.

The fastest leveling strategy in Aion 2 is not pure speedrunning through the story. The players who progress the smoothest are the ones who constantly balance EXP gains with combat power growth.

Follow the main quests aggressively, but do not ignore the systems supporting your character’s actual strength.

Regional quests, sealed dungeons, Daevanion progression, accessory upgrades, and smart resource management all combine to make the early game much easier.
