Aion 2 Targeted Kina Buffs Explained: Weekly Reward System Updates

1. Weekly Diminishing Returns for Kinah and Dungeon Runs

One of the biggest changes is the introduction of a weekly diminishing returns system tied to activity volume. Instead of letting players endlessly farm dungeons or repeat content at full efficiency, rewards now scale down based on how many runs you complete each week.

The system works roughly like this:

  • 1 to 63 runs: 100% Kinah and reward efficiency
  • 64 to 77 runs: 80% efficiency
  • 78 to 91 runs: 60% efficiency
  • 92 to 105 runs: 40% efficiency
  • 106+ runs: 20% efficiency

In practical terms, this means your “best value” farming window is heavily front-loaded. Once you pass a certain threshold, you’re still getting rewards, but the return per run drops significantly.

There’s also a stricter version applied to casual exploration-style activities:

  • 1 to 7 runs: 100% rewards
  • 8 to 14 runs: 60%
  • 15 to 20 runs: 20%
  • 21+ runs: 0%

This design clearly pushes players toward more structured weekly planning instead of endless grinding.

2. Targeted Kinah Buffs in Middle Abyss Reshanta

While some content has been capped, other areas have been directly buffed to compensate. A major example is Middle Abyss Reshanta, which has become a key hotspot for both Kinah and Abyss Points farming.

Inside this zone:

  • Monsters grant a flat +40% Kinah and Abyss Points bonus
  • Normal mob stats have been slightly reduced for faster farming
  • World bosses in Lower and Middle Abyss have been made stronger, requiring coordinated groups

The intent here is clear: shift players away from low-effort farming loops and into contested, high-interaction PvPvE zones. The increased rewards come with increased risk and competition, especially around boss spawns.

3. Account-Wide Limits and the Alt Character Penalty

Another major focus of the update is limiting “alt armies”—players running multiple characters to multiply rewards unfairly.

The system now applies account-wide scaling:

  • First 4 characters: Full rewards up to weekly caps
  • 5th character and beyond: 20% reduction in rewards per additional character

This doesn’t completely remove alt play, but it heavily discourages mass-character farming as a primary income strategy.

On top of that, there are hard weekly caps tied to specific activity systems:

  • Expedition and Transcendence content: full rewards up to Cube 55
  • Conquest content: full rewards up to Cube 83

After these thresholds, efficiency or reward gains stop scaling normally.

4. Economy Adjustments and New Gold Sinks

To balance out increased Kinah generation from buffs and targeted farming zones, the economy has also been adjusted with reduced costs and new sinks.

Key changes include:

  • Stigma point resets reduced to 10,000 Kinah per point
  • Stigma transformations reduced dramatically from 1,000,000 Kinah to 200,000 Kinah
  • Material Conversion system added for exchanging Kinah + fragments into progression items

Players can now convert excess Kinah along with materials like tuning fragments or silver merit fragments into high-value progression items such as:

  • Tuning Stones
  • Silver Merit Medals

This helps stabilize the economy by ensuring that increased currency flow still has meaningful long-term sinks.

5. What These Changes Mean for Players

Overall, the direction of these updates is fairly consistent:

  • Prevent infinite grinding efficiency
  • Reward focused, daily/weekly planning
  • Push players into PvPvE hotspots instead of safe farming loops
  • Limit multi-character exploitation
  • Maintain economic stability through controlled sinks

For active players, the biggest adjustment is learning when to stop grinding for optimal efficiency rather than trying to maximize total playtime. For competitive players, Middle Abyss becomes much more important as a high-reward zone. And for economy-focused players, Kinah management now matters more than raw farming volume.

These changes make progression in Aion 2 more structured and less grind-exploit driven. While some players may feel restricted by the weekly caps, the overall design clearly aims to balance fairness, reduce bot impact, and keep endgame progression meaningful over time.
