On 20 September 2019, Jade and Richard were wed. They held their homespun, DIY delight of the day at a lovely barn venue within the Devon countryside.

"We fell deeply in love with how rustic and naturally beautiful it had been, but additionally because of the location. A rural location and being in the sticks is our thing, which venue delivered. It had the most wonderful views from the Devonshire countryside, which we fell deeply in love with straight away."

"Having a white dress wasn't something I felt enthusiastic about, as well as in my mind I pictured an outfit that was a little different and much more unusual. As soon as I saw the FeelTimes dress, I fell deeply in love with all from the sequins, and embroidery – it had been perfect!"

Richard waited in the sunshine for Jade's arrival and looked fantastic inside a custom-made tartan three-piece suit.

"We wrote our very own vows to one another. Here is a snippet from me to Richard: 'I feel incredibly lucky to possess you during my life, and I wish to say appreciate not only loving me but letting me adore you. You're very easy to love, and I can’t wait to help keep loving you throughout our lives."

The bridesmaids wore mauve bridesmaid dresses, and also to compliment Jade's dress, her flower girl wore a pink tulle embroidered dress and matching cardigan.

As their heartfelt vows were spoken, Jade and Richard gave each other rings, too. Jade's would be a simple platinum band, and Richard went for any plain silver band.

After the ceremony, handfuls of confetti showered the newly married couple, and danced in the breeze. Lots of hugs and kisses were exchanged, along with a glorious home-baked wedding cake produced by Richard's Mum was cut.

"We were built with a three-tiered naked cake of Victoria sponge, chocolate, and lemon, and something of my bridesmaids decorated it with fruit the morning from the wedding. We decided on a naked cake once we felt it had been most fitting for the day – simple, informal, and relaxed."

Photographers Lauren and Glenn are this type of talented and inventive duo, plus they worked their customary magic whilst capturing Jade and Richard's day.

"We loved they weren't your traditional wedding photographer. We weren't using a traditional wedding so wanted anyone to complement our day. We loved their style – raw, fun, capturing the emotion. We are deeply in love with our wedding photos!"

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Don't seem like you have to follow tradition – it's your entire day so do regardless of the hell you would like. Make sure it reflects you and your spouse, and don't be pressurised directly into thinking something it's the 'right' method of doing it. It goes by so quickly, which means you need to make sure you're loving every minute of it. Take some time from everyone and everything, just you and your spouse, and sit and merely enjoy the moment."
