Megan and Ross married on 15 September 2018 at a beautiful, countryside venue, in Duns, Scotland. The couple, a senior services manager in a charity and partner in a wealth management firm respectively, loved the warm vibe from the barn and it is Borders location, where Megan spent time when becoming an adult.

"It was extremely important to get married in Scotland. My grandparents were farmers within the Borders and thus much of my childhood was spent together enjoying a lovely part of the world. I have a lot of fond memories so as they are no more with us, it was vital for us to pay homage to them. It was such an attractive, warm and welcoming space, we knew it had been the one for all of us. As a dry hire venue, we're able to put our very own stamp onto it and make it our very own."

"My dress was created by Charlie Brear, and purchased in their flagship boutique in Queen's Park. It was the only real dress I tried on that I felt myself in."

"It was timeless but modern at the same time, using the deep V in the front and back. It was so beautiful. I loved searching for dresses but found the procedure quite stressful because I am this kind of indecisive shopper."

The couple were both at university in Glasgow but didn't meet up until after their graduation.

"Whilst we knew of one another, I was never formally introduced. It wasn't until my good friend and bridesmaid Erin and I visited London for that weekend that I met Ross properly. He was residing in London along with a friend of Erin's, therefore we met him for lunch and things escalated to some dodgy club in Leicester Square where we partied before the wee hours with American movie stars!"

"We were together for eight years before Ross proposed within the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park, New York. It was a basic, misty, and wet morning, and merely the two of us. It was utterly perfect." Here

I adore the elegance of the lavender bridesmaid dresses.

"I loved the simplicity of the dress. I didn't want anything too fussy, plus they were so flattering. I loved they mirrored the cut of my dress."

"The ceremony was undoubtedly our favorite part of the day and thus much of that's down to Laura. She put a lot of love and care into crafting our ceremony around."

"The ceremony is meaningful and private. We both loved waiting in front of all of the people vital that you and making those offers to each other. After the initial aisle emotion, I felt so calm and within the moment."

Following the newlyweds' first dance to Tom Odell's 'Grow Old With Me', the entire party took towards the dance floor to have an energetic ceilidh.

"'Grow Old With Me' happens to be one of our favorites and we adore the lyrics. It starts slow and switches to upbeat, therefore we weren't left swaying awkwardly in front of our guests. Our wedding ceremony joined us around the dancefloor once the beat kicked in. That was such a contented moment for all of us to be encompassed by special friends."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Don't stress should you don't have 'as soon as' whenever you find your dress. I loved my dress and knew it had been the one for me but I wasn't overcome with emotion but still had wobbly moments of doubt. That's normal! It's an enormous decision. Just concentrate on how you felt whenever you first used it on as well as your gut feeling could keep you right."
