How beautiful it is – the process of growing a human. As with most things lately, I feel like we’ve lost focus on the simplicity and beauty that pregnancy is. The moment we find out we’re expecting we’re thrown into a fear based mentality of all the things that can go wrong. Yes, sometimes something can happen. But most of the time, it does not, and the 9 month process of human-growing is wonderfully amazing!

Most reading this know that I gave birth to all three of my kids at home. Truly, my best memories to date. That is not and does not have to be everyone’s story, but some people don’t even know that it is possible!

It is, and a lot of my practice is made up of pregnant women. And I love it.

Prenatal chiropractic? If you aren’t familiar with the benefits, the entire philosophy behind it can be described as this: Facilitating neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvic area.

That’s how it’s described on the website for Webster technique. What it means is creating and establishing an environment where the baby and mom are physiologically balanced and flexible.

Still to science-y? Essentially, Webster technique helps ensure baby has room to move and get into position and mom is not in pain 24/7. It is beneficial throughout the entire pregnancy, but especially as moms progress into the third trimester when optimal baby positioning is top of mind.

There is a side benefit of leveraging the body’s ability to handle stress, but that happens with all adjustments, although a momma’s body will definitely have to manage some stress!

I think Chiropractic is so beneficial to anyone with a spine. Having a clear understanding of why and how sure makes it easier to see and enjoy the benefits of an adjustment. Ask a mom who had pregnancy chiropractic care if they regretted it. I bet they say no! It feels good both physically and mentally!

For us too, there is nothing like the blossoming of new life, especially in chiropractic care, that which enhances life itself.

I’m forever thankful to the moms and babes I’ve met along the way.
