Bright green, red-orange, orange and yellow LEDs were produced in the early 1990s. In 1994, Shuji Nakamura invented the ultra-bright blue LED, which became the basis for today's common commercial LEDs.

LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are the most energy-efficient lighting option available. To produce the same amount of light as a 60-watt incandescent bulb, the LED battery holiday lights use only 10 watts. This is because LEDs use almost all of their energy as light, while incandescents emit most of their energy as heat.

Like earlier versions of incandescent and fluorescent lights, they were once expensive and had limited colors. However, rapidly evolving technology has made them available at affordable prices, with a wide range of color temperatures and an excellent (CRI) color rendering index.

LED color temperature

The earliest commercial LEDs provided only blue and white light. Today, LEDs are available in warm golden color temperatures (2700K-3000K) as well as crisp blue-white (5000K).

Soft white (2700K) is ideal for lobbies, guest spaces, and residential living areas.

Bright white (4000K) is the first choice for workspaces such as kitchens, garages, and warehouses.

Daylight (5000K) enhances productivity and is perfect for reading, working, and any space that demands focus and energy.

Color rendering index

The higher the color rendering index (CRI), the better. High CRI helps your eyes distinguish colors. The CRI is measured on a scale of 0-100, with a score of 100 indicating that the color looks as it would in natural sunlight.

Lamps with a CRI rating of 80 or above are considered acceptable for most applications.

Lamps with a CRI rating of 90 or above are considered high lights and are ideal for situations where color accuracy is critical.
