The only neurosurgeon in Lahore with Intercollegiate Board certification in neurosurgery from four Royal colleges of Surgeons in the United Kingdom and Ireland is Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow. After receiving his FRCS in general surgery, he began his training in neurosurgery in the UK as a senior house officer. He then began a 7-year training rotation in renowned neurosurgical facilities in England, progressing to the post of senior registrar.
