In this review article, we provide an overview on the role of K-RAS in tumorigenesis, past approaches to inhibiting Kras, and current and future prospects for targeting Kras.The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is the source of lysosomal calcium. The finding that the protein TMBIM6 -a putative ER calcium channel and cell death regulator -promotes calcium transfer from the ER to lysosomes to induce autophagy uncovers a missing piece in the puzzle of inter-organelle communication.Doxorubicin (DOX) is well-known for its potent antitumor activity but limited by its multiple and serious adverse effects. A major adverse effect is acute cardiotoxicity; yet, its mechanism has not been elucidated. Fucoidan is a multifunctional and nontoxic polysaccharide that is widely studied because of its favorable biological activities and safety. Hence, we proposed that fucoidan may play a protective role in DOX-induced acute cardiotoxicity without causing additional side effects. Sprague-Dawley rats were injected intraperitoneally with a single high dose of DOX to induce acute cardiac injury. Fucoidan was administered orally before DOX injection and AG490, a JAK2 inhibitor, was applied to verify the participation of the JAK2/STAT3 pathway. In vitro, H9C2 cells were treated with the same drugs at different concentrations and intervention times. in vivo and in vitro results demonstrated that DOX administration induced myocardial damage accompanied by acceleratory apoptosis and deficient autophagy in heart tissues or cells, which could be significantly improved by fucoidan supplement. AG490 partly abolished the cardioprotective effects of fucoidan, suggesting the involvement of JAK2 signaling. Additionally, western blotting revealed DOX-induced JAK2/STAT3 pathway activation, which was enhanced by fucoidan and weaken by AG490. Hence, fucoidan exerted a favorable effect on DOX-induced cardiotoxicity by enhancing autophagy and suppressing apoptosis in a JAK2/STAT3-dependent manner, which may provide a promising and novel therapeutic strategy against negative chemotherapy-induced effects.
Midwives provide care to women across the childbearing journey from pre-conception to the post-partum period in various clinical settings. Due to the increasing incidence of diabetic pregnancies, midwives are now in a position to support other health professionals, as part of a team, to reduce the stress and / or demand on the health care services.
This integrative review synthesises original research that explores the experiences and perceptions of midwives in the provision of care for women with diabetes.

Whittemore and Knafl's (2005) systematic approach was used to search for primary literature related to the research question. Studies meeting the following criteria were included primary qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research studies published in peer reviewed journals between January 2009 to October 2019. The population of interest being midwives or nurse-midwives and the outcomes of interest included their perceived role in the management of women with diabetes fach individual's needs can be met. These opportunities include provision of education at a university level, offering work based training and increasing the number of post registration courses targeted at midwives who are willing to upskill to provide appropriate care to women with diabetes. Courses are required to address the knowledge, attitudes to diabetes, appropriate assessment skills and innovative communication skills for midwives.
The findings indicate that midwives need opportunities to learn and develop skills specific to their role so that each individual's needs can be met. These opportunities include provision of education at a university level, offering work based training and increasing the number of post registration courses targeted at midwives who are willing to upskill to provide appropriate care to women with diabetes. The objective of this study is to investigate beliefs and experiences about depression in North Korean refugees (NKRs) using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
We used an exploratory sequential mixed methods study design with a quantitative survey followed by an in-depth individual interview.
We surveyed 329 NKRs who had been in South Korea for at least a year. Eleven participants were selected from the survey sample to complete an additional individual in-depth interview to obtain further understanding about depression among NKRs in their own words and context.
About 44% of the sample had mild to severe depression; only 16% indicated that they were being treated for mood disorder. Individual in-depth interviews yielded key themes related to NKRs' depression beliefs and experiences recognizing depression, factors contributing to depression, overcoming depression, and barriers to seeking help and treatment. Integration of quantitative and qualitative data revealed that although loneliness was one of the prominent subthemes contributing to depression, strong self-determination was noted as being critical to overcoming depression among those who had moderate to moderately severe depression but had no social support.
Future efforts should be directed toward an enhanced support network and targeted education about the South Korean healthcare system, particularly in relation to mental health treatment.

Patients with cancer are at high risk of infections, due to an overall immunocompromised status. However, this connection is not straightforward for coronavirus (CoV) infection, in which the host immune response is the main driver of tissue damage. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/AZD0530.html We performed a thorough review of data on CoV pathogenesis and morbidity rate in cancer patients, through the analysis of the previous CoV pandemics. Considering the interaction between CoV and the host immune system, cancer patients receiving immunotherapy might be more at risk for an aberrant immune response in case of infection, and might therefore deserve additional precautions. The limited available data do not allow us to provide practical indications for the management of cancer patients in this critical situation. Efforts should be made to prospectively collect data, to identify effective interventions to guide treatment decision.

The aim of this study was to assess oral health in patients almost at the end of a methadone-detoxification process due to heroin dependency, identifying their treatment needs. MATERIALS AND METHODS Seventeen patients, aged between 22 and 51 years, were admitted to the University Hospital of Verona after at least 6 months of being drug-free, except for standard methadone therapy (20 mg/day). Data concerning medical history, social status, drugs and nutritional habits were collected. Restorative conditions and periodontal status were evaluated clinically and radiographically. RESULTS The duration of illicit drug consumption ranged from 2 to 20 years; methadone treatment duration ranged from 1 to 17 months. A total of 392 teeth were evaluated 2 patients were diagnosed with periodontitis, whereas dental caries was widespread, affecting most frequently interproximal surfaces of the anterior teeth. Some 185 teeth needed restorations, 15 decayed teeth endodontic treatments, 21 teeth extraction, and 84 teeth were suitable for prosthetic rehabilitations. Caries and periodontal indexes were analysed according to years of heroin consumption (HYC) and months of methadone therapy (MMT), without any statistical differences (p > 0.05) found for both phases. Social and individual factors were investigated in relation with the indexes no correlations were demonstrated. Regarding irregular food ingestion during HYC, a statistically significant difference (p less then 0.05) between the full-mouth visible bleeding on probing index (FM-VBOP) and diet was found. All types of studies, including randomised or nonrandomised controlled trials (RCTs or CCTs), prospective and retrospective studies, as well as in vitro studies were considered eligible for inclusion. The reference lists of all included articles were hand searched for additional studies. Two authors independently performed study selection, data extraction, and risk of bias assessment. RESULTS One RCT and 8 in vitro studies met the inclusion criteria. Seven studies were classified as having a high risk of bias while 2 in vitro studies were graded as having a moderate risk of bias. The results showed that bleaching of WSL can diminish colour disparities between carious and non-affected areas, but the certainty of the evidence was very low. The high degree of methodological heterogeneity precluded a valid interpretation of the results through pooled estimates. CONCLUSIONS The findings from the present systematic review could not support or refute bleaching as an effective method for management of post-orthodontic WSLs. In the middle and late stage of liver failure, the cost-effectiveness ratio and incremental cost-effectiveness value of pre-DPMAS followed by equal plasma exchange plan was 122 865.5 and 284 334.97, and 70 744.55 and 75 299.48, respectively, which was less than three times of per capita GDP. The increased cost was acceptable and had economic advantages. The sensitivity analysis results showed that the basic analysis results were reliable. Conclusion Half-dose plasma exchange combined with DPAMS plan is the most cost-effective treatment for early liver failure, while pre-DPMAS followed by equal plasma exchange plan is the most economical treatment for mid and late stage liver failure.Objective To investigate the mutation characteristics and clinical relevance of Gilbert syndrome (GS) and Crigler-Najjar syndrome (CNS) in relation to uridine diphosphate glucuronosyltransferase A1 (UGT1A1) gene. Methods The characteristics of UGT1A1 gene mutation and their clinical relevance were analyzed by searching PubMed and Human Gene Mutation Databases. Results A total of 163 mutation sites were found in the UGT1A1 gene since November 16, 2018. The following patterns existed at the above sites (1) the numbers of gene mutations occurring between different exons of UGT1A1 was related to GS or CNS phenotypes, and were positively correlated with the length of the exon; (2) nonsense point mutations was mainly occurred in type I of CNS; (3) GS, Crigler-Najjar syndrome type II compound heterozygous mutation sites had a certain combination and distribution, among which - 3279t > G mutation was found in all four GS complex heterozygous compositions; (4) UGT1A1 gene mutation sites reported in Asia had marked aggregation in c.211-c.558. Conclusion UGT1A1 gene mutation characteristics and clinical relevance varies with different mutation sites, reporting areas and populations. This study has reference value for basic research and clinical diagnosis and treatment of GS and CNS.Objective To investigate the effect and molecular mechanism of circular RNA-UBXN7 (circ_UBXN7) on the proliferation, migration and apoptosis of hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Methods Circ_UBXN7 expression in the tissues and cells of hepatocellular cancer was detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), and the relationship between circ_UBXN7 expression and clinicopathological features, including age, gender, tumor volume, pathological classification, staging, and lymph node metastasis was analyzed. The full-length sequence of circ_UBXN7 with lentivirus carrying lenti circ_UBXN7 and lenti circ_UBXN7 shRNA was constructed to transfect hepatocellular cell lines (HepG2 and Huh-7), respectively. CCK-8 experiments were performed to detect the ability of up- or down-regulation of circ_UBXN7 on the proliferation of HEPG2 and HUH-7 cells. Annexin V / PI experiment was used to detect the changes in apoptosis of HEPG2 and HUH-7 cells after up-regulation or down-regulation of circ_UBXN7 expresHEPG2 and HUH-7 cells and promoted cell proliferation. Lenti-circ_UBXN7-shRNA had down-regulated the expression of circ_UBXN7 and induced apoptosis. Lenti-circ_UBXN7-shRNA had reduced the mitochondrial membrane potential of cells. Lenti-circ_UBXN7 had promoted cell migration, while lenti-circ_UBXN7-shRNA had inhibited cell migration. Lenti-circ_UBXN7 had induced increased expression of Twist, N-cadherin, and Vimentin proteins, and reduced the expression of E-cadherin protein. Lenti-circ_UBXN7-shRNA had opposite effects on the expression levels of each protein. Starbase V2.0 software showed that miR-203a and circ_UBXN7 had potential binding sites, and miR-203a and circ_UBXN7 expression levels were negatively correlated in HEP G2 and HUH-7 cells. In the middle and late stage of liver failure, the cost-effectiveness ratio and incremental cost-effectiveness value of pre-DPMAS followed by equal plasma exchange plan was 122 865.5 and 284 334.97, and 70 744.55 and 75 299.48, respectively, which was less than three times of per capita GDP. The increased cost was acceptable and had economic advantages. The sensitivity analysis results showed that the basic analysis results were reliable. Results A total of 163 mutation sites were found in the UGT1A1 gene since November 16, 2018. Despite the relatively high fragmentation of some of these drafts, bitacora was able to improve the annotation of many members of these families and detected thousands of new chemoreceptors encoded in genome sequences. The program creates general feature format (GFF) files, with both curated and newly identified gene models, and FASTA files with the predicted proteins. Results While hospital management developed five safety initiatives, only one of these (falls prevention) was actually seen to permeate all layers of the organisation. Other initiatives stopped one layer down. Both middle management and ward staff added to the list of initiatives developed, resulting in 16 priorities. A range of positive and negative influences to successful implementation are identified. Conclusions Safety initiatives need positive reinforcement at all levels to be addressed appropriately. The research suggests that a model related to improvement science may prove useful in ensuring that priorities are addressed. Implications for nursing management Care should be taken to ensure that safety initiatives are successfully implemented at all levels within an organisation. Conclusions Several potential skeletal and muscular apomorphies of turtles are identified or elaborated. The musk turtle, with its small size and hard-shelled egg could become an important species for the study of turtle evolution and development, suitable for in ovo experimentation and late stage imaging of well-advanced anatomical features. Here we asked if Reelin-expressing dorsal horn neurons co-express Lmx1b, are mispositioned in dab1 mutants, and contribute to nociceptive abnormalities. About 90% of Reelin-labeled neurons are Lmx1b-positive in laminae I-II, confirming that most Reelin and Dab1 neurons are glutamatergic. We determined that Reelin-Lmx1b and Dab1-Lmx1b dorsal horn neurons are separate populations, and together, comprise 37% of Lmx1b-positive cells within and above the Isolectin B4 (IB4) layer in wild-type ****. Compared to wild-type ****, dab1 mutants have a reduced area of laminae I-II outer (above the IB4 layer), more Reelin-Lmx1b neurons within the IB4 layer, and fewer Reelin-Lmx1b neurons within the lateral reticulated area of lamina V and lateral spinal nucleus. This paper reviews the historical evolution of the language and organization surrounding the health of personnel in the British Army from 'hygiene' through to 'wellbeing'. It starts by considering the health of the army in the mid-nineteenth century and the emergence of military hygiene as a professional subject. It continues by looking at advances in military hygiene in the two world wars. Hygiene was replaced by the term 'health' in the 1950s as the collective noun used by professionals working in this field. This unity split when the professions of occupational medicine and public health established separate faculties and training pathways. However, the health issues for the armed forces remain fundamentally unchanged. Going forward, the term 'wellbeing' is helping to refresh the close relationships between executives, their medical advisers and those within the population of health professions charged with keeping the British Army healthy. The core theme is the collaborations between civil society, executive leadership and medical services in maximizing the health of the military population from recruitment through to life as a veteran.BACKGROUND Due to the unique anatomical location of retroperitoneal metastatic lymph nodes, current treatment options are limited. This study was designed to explore the clinical efficacy and prognostic factors of CT-guided 125I brachytherapy for the treatment of retroperitoneal metastatic lymph nodes. METHODS We retrospectively evaluated 92 patients received 125I brachytherapy for retroperitoneal metastatic lymph nodes. A layered Cox proportional hazards model was established to filter out the independent factors affecting local tumor progression-free survival (LTPFS). RESULTS The median LTPFS was 8 months. Metastatic lymph node with uniform density (p-0.009), clear boundaries (p-0.011), regular morphology (P less then 0.001), and less then 3 organs at risk of metastasis (p-0.020) were associated with better LTPFS. Necrotic lymph nodes (p less then 0.001), fusion (p-0.003), and invasion of vessels visible on images (p less then 0.001) were associated with poor LTPFS. Puncture path through abdominal wall or paravertebral approach were also associated with better LTPFS than a hepatic approach (P less then 0.05). A maximum diameter ≤ 3 cm (P-0.031) or 3-5 cm (P-0.018) were also associated with significantly better LTPFS than a maximum diameter ≥ 5 cm. The Cox proportional hazards model suggested that lymph nodes invaded the large vessels visible on images, maximum diameter and puncture path were independent risk factors for LTPFS. In the course of studies to model AD amyloidosis, we have generated multiple transgenic mouse models that vary in the nature of the transgene constructs that are expressed; including the species origin of Aβ peptides, the levels and length of Aβ that is deposited, and whether mutant presenilin 1 (PS1) is co-expressed. These models recapitulate features of human AD amyloidosis, but interestingly some models can produce pathology in which one type of Aβ morphology dominates. In prior studies of **** that primarily develop cored-neuritic deposits, we determined that Aβ deposition is associated with changes in cytosolic protein solubility in which a subset of proteins become detergent-insoluble, indicative of secondary proteome instability. Here, we survey changes in cytosolic protein solubility across seven different transgenic mouse models that exhibit a range of Aβ deposit morphologies. We find a surprisingly diverse range of changes in proteome solubility across these models. **** that deposit human Aβ40 and Aβ42 in cored-neuritic plaques had the most robust changes in proteome solubility. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate the PPI network with other biological information to identify essential proteins. RESULTS In this paper, we proposed a novel random walk method for identifying essential proteins, called HEPT. A three-dimensional tensor is constructed first by combining the PPI network of Saccharomyces cerevisiae with multiple biological data such as gene ontology annotations and protein domains. Then, based on the newly constructed tensor, we extended the Hyperlink-Induced Topic Search (HITS) algorithm from a two-dimensional to a three-dimensithm and the combination of network topology with gene ontology annotations and protein domains, which provides a new insight into multi-data source fusion.

This study was designed to explore the clinical efficacy and prognostic factors of CT-guided 125I brachytherapy for the treatment of retroperitoneal metastatic lymph nodes. METHODS We retrospectively evaluated 92 patients received 125I brachytherapy for retroperitoneal metastatic lymph nodes. A layered Cox proportional hazards model was established to filter out the independent factors affecting local tumor progression-free survival (LTPFS). RESULTS The median LTPFS was 8 months. Metastatic lymph node with uniform density (p-0.009), clear boundaries (p-0.011), regular morphology (P less then 0.001), and less then 3 organs at risk of metastasis (p-0.020) were associated with better LTPFS. Necrotic lymph nodes (p less then 0.001), fusion (p-0.003), and invasion of vessels visible on images (p less then 0.001) were associated with poor LTPFS. Puncture path through abdominal wall or paravertebral approach were also associated with better LTPFS than a hepatic approach (P less then 0.05). A maximum diameter ≤ 3 cm (P-0.031) or 3-5 cm (P-0.018) were also associated with significantly better LTPFS than a maximum diameter ≥ 5 cm. The Cox proportional hazards model suggested that lymph nodes invaded the large vessels visible on images, maximum diameter and puncture path were independent risk factors for LTPFS. These models recapitulate features of human AD amyloidosis, but interestingly some models can produce pathology in which one type of Aβ morphology dominates. In prior studies of mice that primarily develop cored-neuritic deposits, we determined that Aβ deposition is associated with changes in cytosolic protein solubility in which a subset of proteins become detergent-insoluble, indicative of secondary proteome instability. Here, we survey changes in cytosolic protein solubility across seven different transgenic mouse models that exhibit a range of Aβ deposit morphologies. We find a surprisingly diverse range of changes in proteome solubility across these models. Mice that deposit human Aβ40 and Aβ42 in cored-neuritic plaques had the most robust changes in proteome solubility. Insoluble cytosolic proteins were also detected in the brains of mice that develop diffuse Aβ42 deposits but to a lesser extent. Notably, mice with cored deposits containing only Aβ42 had relatively few proteins that became detergent-insoluble. When an engine operates with a lean fuel-air mixture, the flame becomes unstable and is at times carried out of the combustion chamber by the unburnt flow. Thus, the sudden loss of the flame, known as lean blowout, leads to fatal accidents in aircrafts and loss of production in power plants. Therefore, an in-depth analysis of lean blowout is necessary as the phenomenon involves complex interactions between flow dynamics and chemical kinetics. For understanding the complex dynamics of this phenomenon, recurrence analysis can be a very useful method. In the current study, we observe a transition to LBO as the global fuel-air ratio is reduced from stoichiometric condition and perform recurrence quantification analysis (RQA) with the CH∗ chemiluminescence data obtained experimentally. The extent of fuel-air mixing is varied with an objective of developing some robust early predictors of LBO that would work over a wide range of premixing. We find some RQA measures, such as determinism, laminarity, and trapping time, which show distinctive signature toward LBO and thereby can be used as early predictors of LBO for both premixed and partially premixed flames. Guided by this index, SR is thus able to recover the unknown LFM signal from the raw signal. In addition, a cloud model based genetic algorithm is used to achieve an adaptive SR in order to improve the effectiveness of signal processing.Studying natural phenomena via the complex network approach makes it possible to quantify the time-evolving structures with too many elements and achieve a deeper understanding of interactions among the components of a system. In this sense, solar flare as a complex system with the chaotic behavior could be better characterized by the network parameters. Here, we employed an unsupervised network-based method to recognize the position and occurrence time of the solar flares by using the ultraviolet emission (1600 Å) recorded by the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly on board Solar Dynamics Observatory. Three different regions, the flaring active regions, the non-flaring active regions, and the quiet-Sun regions, were considered to study the variations of the network parameters in the presence and absence of flaring phases in various datasets over time intervals of several hours. The whole parts of the selected datasets were partitioned into sub-windows to construct networks based on computing the Pearson correlation between time series of the region of interest and intensities.

Background Topical corticosteroids alone or in combination with other therapies are widely used to treat Mycosis Fungoides (MF), but data on response rates to their use as monotherapy in MF are limited. Objective Evaluate the efficacy of topical corticosteroid monotherapy in MF; compare gender, age, stage distributions, and histopathological features between responders and non-responders. Methods A retrospective cross-sectional review of MF patients from 2013 to 2019 treated at Thomas Jefferson University was conducted. Patients with biopsy-proven MF, all stages, who received topical corticosteroid monotherapy were included. Response rates were determined by percent change in body surface area (BSA) involvement and modified Severity-Weighted Assessment Tool (mSWAT). Results Of the 163 MF patients in our database, 23% (37/163) initially received topical steroid monotherapy. 73% (27/37) improved with an average 65% decrease in BSA (67% in mSWAT). 27% (10/37) did not respond/progressed with an average 51.6% increase in BSA (57% in mSWAT). 33% (12/37) had a complete response (BSA=0%) with prolonged topical steroid use. Early-stage MF and female gender were more represented in responders. Limitations Single-center retrospective design. Conclusions Topical steroid monotherapy in early-stage MF can produce measurable improvements in BSA and mSWATs and achieve complete remission in a limited subset of patients.Physical inactivity is a global health burden. Physical activity counseling methods should be "tailored" for an individual using appropriate counseling methods and setting-specific resources. Multilevel barriers to physical activity counseling in primary care (i.e., healthcare providers, patients, and systems) must be addressed. We demonstrated that the treatment with sacubitril/valsartan and valsartan alone resulted in the increased production of exosomes by induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes in vitro in both conditions as well as in the rat plasma in vivo. Next-generation sequencing of these exosomes exhibited downregulation of the expression of rno-miR-181a in the sacubitril/valsartan treatment group. In vivo studies employing chronic rodent myocardial injury model demonstrated that miR-181a antagomir has a beneficial effect on cardiac function. Sex-stratified and multistate Cox regression was used to examine the disparities in BMI change. Results showed that both older males and older females who resided in the central-south had lower rates of weight change from nonobese to obese, compared with those from the east. Older females from urban regions had higher rate of weight change from nonobese to obese, compared with rural participants (hazard ratio [HR] 1.35, 95% confidence interval [CI] = [1.13, 1.60]; p .05). The prevalence of occult hepatitis B was 0.48%. HCV/HBV patients were younger with a higher proportion of males, HIV-coinfected, and advanced fibrosis. They were less often diagnosed with diabetes but more often with chronic kidney disease. In HBsAg(+) subjects with baseline HBV-DNA available 6/102 (5.9%) HBV-reactivations during or after DAA therapy were observed, and in two (1.9%) significant hepatic flares were noted. In HBsAg(-)/anti-HBc(+) group 2 (0.16%) reactivations were observed only in patients undergoing immunosuppressive therapy. Discussion Data from a large European cohort suggest a relatively low risk of HBV-reactivation during DAA-therapy for HCV infection in HBsAg(+) patients. Bone age is an important indicator of human growth and development, which can objectively reflect the growth level and maturity of individuals. Traditional manual bone age assessment usually compares the X-ray of the left wrist with the reference standard to obtain the corresponding bone age. This method is time-consuming and its results vary with different observers. In recent years, with the continuous development of computer science, bone age assessment has began to change from traditional manual assessment to automatic assessment. Although there has already been numerous researches on automatic bone age assessment, most of them are still in the experimental stage. This paper reviews related research and progress on automatic bone age assessment at home and abroad in recent years, in order to provide reference and research ideas for relevant researchers.Mitochondria are the special organelle in eukaryotic cells. Their main functions are to synthesize energy required for cell activity by oxidative phosphorylation. Most of the oxygen absorbed by the body is consumed in the mitochondria. The precise diagnosis of mechanical asphyxia is one of the difficulties in forensic pathology practice. Forensic pathologists have been trying to find a reliable and sensitive marker for the diagnosis of mechanical asphyxia. Mitochondria are very sensitive to hypoxic environments, and the markers of mitochondrion damage can be used as a basis for the diagnosis of mechanical asphyxia. The purpose of this paper is to review the research progress on mitochondrial damage in hypoxic environments and to explore the possibility of using markers of mitochondrion damage in forensic pathological practice.Objective To discuss the application of artificial intelligence automatic diatom identification system in practical cases, to provide reference for quantitative diatom analysis using the system and to validate the deep learning model incorporated into the system. Methods Organs from 10 corpses in water were collected and digested with diatom nitric acid; then the smears were digitally scanned using a digital slide scanner and the diatoms were tested qualitatively and quantitatively by artificial intelligence automatic diatom identification system. Results The area under the curve (AUC) of the receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve of the deep learning model incorporated into the artificial intelligence automatic diatom identification system, reached 98.22% and the precision of diatom identification reached 92.45%. Conclusion The artificial intelligence automatic diatom identification system is able to automatically identify diatoms, and can be used as an auxiliary tool in diatom testing in practical cases, to provide reference to drowning diagnosis.Objective To analyze the differences in accuracy of different eye movement parameters in distinguishing the cooperation and non-cooperation during image completion test of patients with mental disorders caused by craniocerebral trauma. Methods One hundred and forty cases of patients with mental disorders caused by craniocerebral trauma who took psychiatric impairment assessments were collected. The 21 pictures from "image completion" of Wechsler intelligence test were used as stimulating pictures, then divided into cooperation group and non-cooperation group according to binomial forced-choice digit memory test and expert opinions. The eye movement parameters of research subjects during completion of images were obtained by the SMI eye-tracker. The accuracy of eye movement parameters in distinguishing the cooperation or non-cooperation of patients with mental disorders caused by craniocerebral trauma in psychiatric impairment assessments were evaluated by the ROC curve. Results During the process of the image completion test, the area under curve (AUC) value of frequency of blink, frequency of fixation, pupil size, frequency of saccade, latency of saccade, average acceleration of saccade, the average and peak longitudinal velocity of saccade was above 0.5. The differences in the above indicators of the control group in observing target stimulation and non-target stimulation had no statistical significance. The average fixation duration showed a negative correlation with fixation points (r=-0.255, P less then 0.05); the average fixation duration showed a negative correlation with average pupil diameter (r=-0.218, P less then 0.05); the fixation points showed a positive correlation with average pupil diameter (r=0.09, P less then 0.05). The area under the curve of average pupil diameter, average fixation duration and fixation points was 0.603, 0.621 and 0.580, respectively.
