Herein, a series of low band gap nonconjugated terpolymer acceptors based on two different fused-ring electron-deficient building blocks (IDIC16 and ITIC) with adjustable photoelectric properties were developed. As the third component, ITIC building blocks with a larger π-conjugation structure, shorter solubilizing side chains, and red-shifted absorption spectrum were incorporated into an IDIC16-based nonconjugated copolymer acceptor PF1-TS4, which built up the terpolymers with two conjugated building blocks linked by flexible thioalkyl chain-thiophene segments. With the increasing ITIC content, terpolymers show gradually broadened absorption spectra and slightly down-shifted lowest unoccupied molecular orbital levels. The active layer based on terpolymer PF1-TS4-60 with a 60% ITIC unit presents more balanced hole and electron mobilities, higher photoluminescence quenching efficiency, and improved morphology compared to those based on PF1-TS4. In all-polymer solar cells (all-PSCs), PF1-TS4-60, matched with a wide band gap polymer donor PM6, achieved a similar open-circuit voltage (Voc) of 0.99 V, a dramatically increased short-circuit current density (Jsc) of 15.30 mA cm-2, and fill factor (FF) of 61.4% compared to PF1-TS4 (Voc = 0.99 V, Jsc = 11.21 mA cm-2, and FF = 55.6%). As a result, the PF1-TS4-60-based all-PSCs achieved a PCE of 9.31%, which is ∼50% higher than the PF1-TS4-based ones (6.17%).   • To determine the serum concentration of soluble E-selectin (sE-selectin) in HIV associated preeclampsia.

    The study population (n = 72) consisted of normotensive pregnant (n = 36) and preeclamptic (n = 36) women stratified by HIV status (negative vs. positive). Serum concentrations of sE-selectin were quantified using the MilliPlex multiplex immunoassay method. Statistical analyses were conducted using GraphPad Prism software.

    When stratified by pregnancy type and HIV status, serum sE-selectin levels were elevated in the preeclamptic HIV-negative group compared to the normotensive HIV-negative group (p = 0.0070**). Gestational age, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and baby weight were statistically different across the study groups (p < 0.0001).

    This study demonstrates an elevation of sE-selectin in preeclamptic HIV-negative compared to the normotensive HIV-negative group. However, when stratified by HIV status, there was no significant difference observed in preeclamptic HIV-positive and normotensive HIV-positive groups. The findings of this small-scale study suggest that sE-selectin may be used as a biomarker or an early identifier of preeclampsia. Studies with large numbers should be considered to confirm our findings.

    Cervical incompetence is an important cause of recurrent pregnancy loss, typically presenting in the second trimester with silent cervical dilation and premature delivery of the fetus. We aimed to evaluate the conception rate and time to conception or failure to conceive after preconceptional laparoscopic abdominal cerclage (LAC).

    We conducted this retrospective observational cohort study at a tertiary referral center. Patients who underwent LAC in the nonpregnant state for a second-trimester pregnancy loss between June 2012 and February 2020 were included.

    The subjects were 40 patients with a history of one or more second-trimester pregnancy losses despite the placement of vaginal cerclage, who had undergone LAC before contemplating a future pregnancy. The mean number of second-trimester pregnancy losses before LAC was two per woman. The ages of the women at the time of cerclage ranged from 21 to 42 years. The time to pregnancy, which was the primary outcome of the study, was determined as the number ohis procedure before they achieve a pregnancy.
    In patients with cervical incompetence, LAC is a very effective intervention to sustain pregnancy to the stage of viability. If placed during the preconceptional period, it does not delay achieving pregnancy and does not have a negative impact on the chances of conception. This may be reassuring to women undergoing this procedure before they achieve a pregnancy.
    Maternal obesity and metabolic health affect pregnancy outcomes. We examined whether maternal metabolic profiles are associated with placental and fetal hemodynamics.

    In a population-based prospective cohort study among 1175 women we examined the associations of an adverse maternal metabolic profile in early pregnancy with placental, fetal cerebral and cardiac hemodynamic development. We obtained maternal pre-pregnancy BMI by questionnaire and measured blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose concentrations at a median gestational age of 12.6 (95 % range 9.6-17.1) weeks. An adverse maternal metabolic profile was defined as ≥4 risk factors. Placental and fetal hemodynamics were measured by pulsed-wave-Doppler at a median gestational age of 30.3 (95 % range 28.8-32.3) weeks.

Major molecular species of MGDG and DGDG are drastically decreased, which is consistent with our previous findings of decreased levels of hexadecatrienoic and linolenic acids. Under normal growth conditions, the ppi2 mutant accumulated significantly lower levels of phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), and phosphatidylinositol (PI). In the cold-acclimated mutant, the amounts of PE and PI were similar to the wildtype level, which indicates that the ER pathway of lipid synthesis was functional in the mutant. The cold-acclimated ppi2 mutant accumulated increased amounts of phosphatidic acid (PA), which was mirrored by an increase in phospholipase Dα (PLDα) transcript levels. These data suggest that PLDα activity contributed to the accumulation of cold-induced PA in the ppi2 mutant. The accumulation of major molecular species in PA indicates that cold-induced PA originated from the degradation of both plastidial and extraplastidial lipids. Compared with the wildtype, the ppi2 mutant had a low double bond index and high acyl chain length, which is indicative of decreased membrane fluidity. The results found that the ozonation process induced a significant increase in the acute toxicity, followed by its gradual decrease. The observation of higher acute toxicity increase generally happened at higher initial 3-chlorophenol concentration, lower ozone concentration and lower reaction pH. At the toxicity peaks, the oxidizing intermediates posed acute toxicity equal to 65.8%-96.3% of the whole toxicity. Among them, free active chlorine (FAC) contributed 21.4%-51.6%, and its concentrations significantly correlated to the acute toxicity change. However, when post-AnMBR effluent was diluted to 25% and 75% v/v with tap water, higher lettuce biomass was harvested compared to the same concentrations of post-AeMBR effluent and control. The observed differences in germination and yield were likely due to differences in the concentrations of heavy metals (e.g. Zn) and steroids or phytohormones (e.g. testosterone, gibberellic acid) present in both post-MBR effluents. This study demonstrated that the type of treated wastewater generated from different upstream treatment technologies can potentially impact crop yield based on the crop type. The results found that the ozonation process induced a significant increase in the acute toxicity, followed by its gradual decrease. The observation of higher acute toxicity increase generally happened at higher initial 3-chlorophenol concentration, lower ozone concentration and lower reaction pH. At the toxicity peaks, the oxidizing intermediates posed acute toxicity equal to 65.8%-96.3% of the whole toxicity.   • Background Secondary transports of patients suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) may result in a delayed management and neurosurgical intervention, which is potentially detrimental. The aim of this study was to study the effect of triaging and delayed transfers on outcome, specifically studying time to diagnostics and neurosurgical management. Methods This was a retrospective observational cohort study of TBI patients in need of neurosurgical care, 15 years and older, in the Stockholm Region, Sweden, from 2008 throughout 2014. Data were collected from pre-hospital and in-hospital charts. Known TBI outcome predictors, including the protein biomarker of brain injury S100B, were used to assess injury severity. Characteristics and outcomes of direct trauma center (TC) and those of secondary transfers were evaluated and compared. Functional outcome, using the Glasgow Outcome Scale, was assessed in survivors at 6-12 months after trauma. Regression models, including propensity score balanced models, were usedI patients secondary transported to a TC had surgical intervention performed hours later, though this did not affect outcome, presumably demonstrating that accurate pre-hospital triaging was performed. This indicates that for selected patients, a wait-and-see approach with delayed neurosurgical intervention is not necessarily detrimental, but warrants further research.We describe a rare case of posterior semicircular canal (PSC) fibrosis following acute labyrinthine ischemia in the territory supplied by the common cochlear artery (CCA) and review the relevant literature. A 71-year-old man with multiple vascular risk factors presented 12 days after the onset of acute vertigo and profound left-sided hearing loss. Right-beating spontaneous nystagmus with downbeat components elicited by mastoid vibrations and headshaking was detected. The video head impulse test (vHIT) revealed an isolated hypofunction of the left PSC, whereas vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMPs) showed ipsilateral saccular loss. The clinical presentation and instrumental picture were consistent with acute ischemia in the territory supplied by left CCA. Compared to previous imaging, a new MRI of the brain with 3D-FIESTA sequences highlighted a filling defect in the left PSC, consistent with fibrosis. Hearing function exhibited mild improvement after steroid therapy and hyperbaric oxygen sessions, whereas vHIT abnormalities persisted over time. To the best of our knowledge, this is the only case in the literature reporting a filling defect on MRI, consistent with semicircular canal fibrosis following acute labyrinthine ischemia. Moreover, PSC fibrosis was related with poor functional outcome. We therefore suggest using balanced steady-state gradient-echo sequences a few weeks following an acute lesion of inner ear sensors to detect signal loss within membranous labyrinth consistent with post-ischemic fibrosis. Besides addressing the underlying etiology, signal loss might also offer clues on the functional behavior of the involved sensor over time. In cases of acute loss of inner ear function, a careful bedside examination supplemented by instrumental assessments, including vHIT and VEMPs, of vestibular receptors and afferents may be completed by MRI with balanced steady-state gradient-echo sequences at a later time to confirm the diagnosis and address both etiology and functional outcome.Background The use of antiplatelet agents in ischemic moyamoya disease (MMD) is controversial. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness and safety of antiplatelet therapy compared with conservative treatment and surgical revascularization in ischemic MMD patients. Methods Ischemic MMD patients were retrospectively enrolled from eight clinical sites from January 2013 to December 2018. Follow-up was performed through clinical visits and/or telephone interviews from first discharge to December 2019. The primary outcome was the episodes of further ischemic attacks, and the secondary outcome was the individual functional status. Risk factors for future stroke were identified by the LASSO-Cox regression model. Propensity score matching was applied to assemble a cohort of patients with similar baseline characteristics using the TriMatch package. Results Among 217 eligible patients, 159 patients were included in the analyses after a 111 propensity score matching. At a mean follow-up of 33 months, 12 patientslet agents were effective and safe in preventing further cerebral ischemic attacks in adult patients with ischemic MMD. They may be a replacement therapy for patients with surgical contraindications and for patients prior to revascularization.Background Odor identification (OI) ability is a suggested early biomarker of Alzheimer's disease. In this study, we investigated brain activity within the brain's olfactory network associated with OI in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) and mild Alzheimer's dementia (mAD) to uncover the neuronal basis of this impairment. Materials and Methods Patients with aMCI (n = 11) or mAD (n = 6) and 28 healthy older adults underwent OI functional MRI (fMRI) at 3T, OI, odor discrimination, and cognitive tests and apolipoprotein-e4 (APOE4) genotyping. Eleven patients had cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analyzed. Those with aMCI were followed for 2 years to examine conversion to dementia. Results The aMCI/mAD group performed significantly worse on all OI tests and the odor discrimination test compared to controls. The aMCI/mAD group had reduced activation in the right anterior piriform cortex compared to the controls during OI fMRI [Gaussian random field (GRF) corrected cluster threshold, p less then 0.0ls. In this study we used Drosophila melanogaster paralytic bangsensitive (para bss ) mutants as a model for epileptic seizure screening and tested, for the first time, the anti-seizure effect of a non-commercial AED. We evaluated the effect of the African custard-apple, Annona senegalensis, which is commonly used as a TM for the treatment of epilepsy in rural Africa, and compared it with the classical AED phenytoin.

  • Immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and western blot were performed to assess protein levels. Results Empagliflozin alleviated liver steatosis in db/db **** and reduced triglyceride content and lipid accumulation in the hepatocyte steatosis model. Empagliflozin elevated autophagy, accompanied by an increase in p-AMPK and TET2. Both 3-MA and Compound C abolished the ability of empagliflozin to induce autophagy and reduce hepatic steatosis, while these effects could be recapitulated by AICAR treatment. TET2 knockdown resulted in autophagy inhibition and lipid accumulation despite empagliflozin treatment. Conclusion Empagliflozin improves hepatic steatosis through the AMPK-TET2-autophagy pathway. RNA samples were analyzed by qRT-PCR method. As expected, CITCO, the direct activator, and PB, the indirect activator of CAR, induced CYP3A4 (31 and 40-fold), CYP2B6 (24 and 28-fold) and UGT1A1 (2.9 and 4.2-fold), respectively. Conversely, TCDD and OP, the activators of AhR, induced CYP1A1 (38 and 37-fold), and UGT1A1 (4.3 and 5.0-fold), respectively. In addition, OP but not TCDD induced CY3A4 by about 61-fold. Twenty-four hepatic drug transporter genes were characterized, and of those, SLC51B was induced the most by PB and OP by about 3.3 and 6.5 fold, respectively. Twenty-four hepatic drug transporter genes were characterized, and of those, SLC51B was induced the most by PB and OP by about 3.3 and 6.5 fold, respectively. Validity groups were established using six, independent criterion performance validity tests, which yielded 98 patients in the valid group and 31 in the invalid group. All MSVT subtest scores were significantly lower in the invalid group (η p 2=.22-.39). Using published cut-scores, sensitivities of 42% to 71% were found among the primary effort subtests, and 74% sensitivity/90% specificity was observed for the overall MSVT. Among this sample, the MSVT component validity scales produced areas under the curve of .78-.86, suggesting moderate classification accuracy. At optimal cut-scores, the MSVT primary effort validity scales demonstrated 55% to 71% sensitivity/91% to 93% specificity, with the Consistency subtest exhibiting the strongest psychometric properties. The MSVT exhibited relatively robust sensitivity and specificity, supporting its utility as a briefer freestanding performance validity test to its predecessor, the Word Memory Test. Patients were randomly assigned into 3 groups of control or bupivacaine or tramadol.   • A new method based on coordination polymer nanoparticles (CPNs) derived from nucleotides and Tb3+ ions (GMP/Tb) for the selective and sensitive determination of aqueous 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP) (picric acid) is established. The fluorescence of GMP/Tb nanoparticles is effectively quenched by TNP via photo-induced charge transfer (PCT), thus achieving its selectivity toward TNP over other nitroaromatic explosives. The decreased fluorescence of GMP/Tb shows a good linear relationship to the concentrations of TNP ranging from 5.0 to 40.0 μM, and the limit of detection is 26.0 nM (5.96 ppb). The proposed GMP/Tb probe also achieves satisfactory results in real samples. The obtained recoveries of this method in river water samples are in the range 93.15-106.10%. The relative standard deviation (RSD) are 0.57 to 1.01% based on three repeated determinations. This fabricated detector provides a feasible path for determination of ppb-level TNP in natural water samples, which can help humans to avoid TNP-contaminated drinking water. Here, we developed an immunocapture LC-MS assay to isotype and semi-quantify monkey anti-drug antibodies (ADAs) to fully human monoclonal antibody (mAb) drugs. ADAs were isolated from serum samples using an immunocapture step with the Fab of the full-length mAb cross-linked to magnetic beads to minimize matrix interference. A positive monoclonal antibody control against the human immunoglobulin kappa light chain was used as a calibration standard for ADA quantitation. The final LC-MS method contains 17 multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) transitions and an optimized 15-min LC method. The results suggested that IgG1 was the most abundant isotype in ADA-positive samples. IgG2 and IgG4 were identified at lower levels, whereas IgG3 and IgA levels were only observed at very minor levels. In addition, levels of total ADA measured by the LC-MS assay were comparable to results obtained using a traditional ligand binding assay (LBA). The LC-MS ADA assay enabled rapid immunogenicity assessment with additional isotype information that LBAs cannot provide.
    In current review, we evaluate the current literature examining the role of disgust in eating disorders (EDs), and provide a theoretical model designed to inform the study and treatment of disgust-based symptoms in EDs.

    Findings from this review suggest that aberrant disgust-conditioning processes represent promising but understudied mechanisms that may contribute to the risk and maintenance of core eating disorder (ED) psychopathology. In addition, preliminary evidence supports the use of interventions designed to target aversive disgust cues and disrupt maladaptive disgust-based conditioning that may maintain eating pathology. However, experimental studies designed to elucidate the role of disgust and aversive learning processes remain limited. Disgust is a promising risk and maintenance factor in EDs. Two GEC1 analogs (GABARAP and GATE16) were also shown to increase KOR expression. In addition, to understand the underlying mechanism, we demonstrated that N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor (NSF), an essential component for membrane fusion, co-immunoprecipitated with GEC1 from brain extracts. In this study, using pull-down techniques, we have found that (1) GEC1 interacts with NSF directly and prefers the ADP-bound NSF to the ATP-bound NSF; (2) D1 and/or D2 domain(s) of NSF interact with GEC1, but the N domain of NSF does not; (3) NSF does not interact with KCT directly, but forms a protein complex with KCT via GEC1; (4) NSF and/or α-SNAP do not affect KCT-GEC1 interaction. Thus, GEC1 (vs the α-SNAP/SNAREs complex) binds to NSF in distinctive ways in terms of the ADP- or ATP-bound form and domains of NSF involved. In conclusion, GEC1 may, via its direct interactions with KOR, NSF, and tubulin, enhance trafficking and fusion of KOR-containing vesicles selectively along the export pathway, which leads to increase in surface expression of KOR. Here, we developed an immunocapture LC-MS assay to isotype and semi-quantify monkey anti-drug antibodies (ADAs) to fully human monoclonal antibody (mAb) drugs. ADAs were isolated from serum samples using an immunocapture step with the Fab of the full-length mAb cross-linked to magnetic beads to minimize matrix interference. A positive monoclonal antibody control against the human immunoglobulin kappa light chain was used as a calibration standard for ADA quantitation. The final LC-MS method contains 17 multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) transitions and an optimized 15-min LC method. The results suggested that IgG1 was the most abundant isotype in ADA-positive samples. IgG2 and IgG4 were identified at lower levels, whereas IgG3 and IgA levels were only observed at very minor levels. In addition, levels of total ADA measured by the LC-MS assay were comparable to results obtained using a traditional ligand binding assay (LBA). The LC-MS ADA assay enabled rapid immunogenicity assessment with additional isotype information that LBAs cannot provide.     Human molars were embedded in acrylic resin and prepared for 3-unit fixed partial dentures. Anatomic contour prostheses were milled from zirconia blanks (ZirCAD Prime 16 mm) in 3 different positions above (cusp-top at the top of the blank), central (center of the prosthesis in the center of the blank), and bottom (margins at the lower edge of the blank). Sintering time (226, 425, 950 hoursminutes) was varied for the central and bottom prostheses. All prostheses were glazed and adhesively bonded.     Implant-supported fixed dental prostheses have been classified into screw-retained and cement-retained types, and each retaining type has complications. A novel retentive cementless double crown (CLD) type of the implant-supported fixed prosthesis has been developed. CLD has air pockets in the intaglio surface of the crown and does not require cement or a screw hole. However, studies on the retention force and stress distribution of the system are lacking.

    The purpose of this invitro study was to evaluate the retention force and stress distribution in the CLD system.

    The specimen comprised an implant, a titanium abutment, and a zirconia crown. Retention forces of 10 specimens of the CLD type were measured at no loading and after cyclic loading for 50, 100, 200, 600, 10 000, and 1 000 000 cycles by using a universal testing machine with a custom attachment device. Management of such complicated situations requires a multidisciplinary approach, including prosthetic intervention. This article describes a clinical treatment for fabricating a custom nasal conformer for a 28-year-old man who presented with a history of an acid burn injury leading to obstructed external nares and fusion of the tip and columella of the nose with the philtrum of the upper lip. The prosthesis served the dual function of maintaining the nasal airway passage and preventing the contracture of the graft placed over the upper lip during reconstructive surgery. Multilayer zirconia blanks comprise material layers with different optical and mechanical properties. Whether positioning within the blank, as well as variation in the sintering procedure, will lead to restorations with different properties is unclear. The purpose of this invitro study was to test the influence of sintering procedures and positioning in a multilayer blank on the invitro performance of 3-unit zirconia fixed partial dentures. Human molars were embedded in acrylic resin and prepared for 3-unit fixed partial dentures. Anatomic contour prostheses were milled from zirconia blanks (ZirCAD Prime 16 mm) in 3 different positions above (cusp-top at the top of the blank), central (center of the prosthesis in the center of the blank), and bottom (margins at the lower edge of the blank). Sintering time (226, 425, 950 hoursminutes) was varied for the central and bottom prostheses. All prostheses were glazed and adhesively bonded. Thermocycling and mechanical loading was performed at 2×3000×5 °C/55 °C ng process and positioning of restorations within a multilayer zirconia blank have little effect on the mechanical properties of the prostheses.This report describes the rehabilitation of worn dentition by using a complete digital workflow on a nonhinged simulated patient. A dentiform was used to represent an individual with loss of occlusal vertical dimension. Interim restorations were designed following the simulated patient's midline, interpupillary line, and ala-tragus line and a defined central incisal edge position, posterior maxillary teeth central groove, and buccal cusp position of posterior maxillary teeth. The definitive restorations were then designed and fabricated by following the contour of the interim restorations. Implant-supported fixed dental prostheses have been classified into screw-retained and cement-retained types, and each retaining type has complications. A novel retentive cementless double crown (CLD) type of the implant-supported fixed prosthesis has been developed. CLD has air pockets in the intaglio surface of the crown and does not require cement or a screw hole. However, studies on the retention force and stress distribution of the system are lacking. The purpose of this invitro study was to evaluate the retention force and stress distribution in the CLD system. The specimen comprised an implant, a titanium abutment, and a zirconia crown. Retention forces of 10 specimens of the CLD type were measured at no loading and after cyclic loading for 50, 100, 200, 600, 10 000, and 1 000 000 cycles by using a universal testing machine with a custom attachment device. Forty specimens of the stress distribution test were divided into 4 groups based on the retention type (cement-retained or CLD type) and load ilar in the cement-retained type (buccal side, 1991.04 ±109.89 μm/m; lingual side, -2232.41 ±189.88) and the CLD type (buccal side, 1932.47 ±152.51 μm/m; lingual side, -2097.47 ±130.69 μm/m) (P>.05). The CLD type had clinically acceptable retention during 1 000 000 load cycles and had a similar or better stress distribution capability than the cement-retained type. Egg THg concentrations increased through time, but this change was due to shifts in gull diets. Stable nitrogen isotopes allowed adjustment of egg THg concentrations for dietary changes. Diet-adjusted egg THg concentrations showed no long-term trend. Consistent with that result, new statistical analysis of THg concentrations in three species of GSL fish showed minor or no temporal changes. Although a long-term trend was absent, inter-year differences in adjusted egg THg concentrations persisted. Contributions of environmental variables (i.e., river flow, lake level, air temperature, precipitation, and wildfire) to these differences were investigated. Egg THg concentrations were greater following years of lower lake levels and greater wildfire extent. Lake level could have affected mercury methylation. Increased wildfire could have enhanced terrestrial Hg releases to the atmosphere where it was transported long distances to GSL. The yield and quality of solid (char), liquid (bio-oil) and gaseous (syngas) products obtained through thermochemical methods were reviewed and analysed to understand the efficacy of each technique.   • Background and Objectives Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for most newborns. However, exclusively breastfed newborns sometimes experience excess weight loss (EWL, loss ≥10% of birth weight) while lactation is being established. Our primary objective was to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of the Newborn Weight Loss Tool (NEWT) in early identification of exclusively breastfed newborns who develop EWL; and secondarily, identify breastfeeding variables associated with an at-risk NEWT trajectory. Materials and Methods We conducted a secondary analysis of prospective data from mother-infant dyads screened for inclusion in the U.S. site of the WHO Growth Reference Study. We excluded records if NEWT-specific criteria not met, missing key data, or >60 mL formula consumed. We defined NEWT "test-positive" based on an in-hospital weight at about 24 hours falling within the NEWT trajectory consistent with eventual EWL. We defined cases as true EWL based on weight measured at home on day of life 4 (DoL4). Results Of 280 original records, 60 were excluded (n = 27, NEWT-specific exclusion; n = 15, missing data; n = 18, >60 mL formula), resulting in 220 paired newborn weights measured in-hospital (17 ± 8 hours), and at DoL4 (84 ± 8 hours). NEWT status correctly identified 6/28 EWL cases (21% sensitivity [95% confidence interval, CI, 8-34%]), and 158/192 noncases (82% specificity [95% CI, 75-89%]). NEWT test-positive status was associated with greater weight loss, lower perceived breastfeeding support, and infant less often showing feeding cues on DoL4 (p  less then  0.05). Conclusion Sensitivity in predicting EWL is low when applying NEWT at about 24 hours of life; however, early test-positive status is associated with indicators of breastfeeding difficulties on DoL4.Pacific Island countries (PIC) have emerged as among the most at-risk globally from the collateral economic damage resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, despite being largely spared its direct health effects so far. Current projections indicate that all PIC will experience an economic contraction in 2020, ranging from -1.0% in Tuvalu to -21.7% in Fiji, worse than most countries globally on average. Given that more than 80% of financing for health in the Pacific comes from domestic and external public sources, the net impact of the economic contraction on resources for health will depend on whether overall public spending can offset the decline in economic activity and how health will be prioritized in government budgets relative to other sectors. Without active reprioritization, most countries could see a slowdown or even decline in per capita levels of public spending for health in the region, risking gains made in advancing universal health coverage in recent years. Methods Data from the 2014-15 U.S. National Alcohol Survey (n = 5516; 10.2% sexual minority adults) were analyzed using logistic regression with survey weights to account for sampling and nonresponse. Multivariable models included simple main effects of sexual identity on the past-year harm outcomes, as well as interactions of drinker status with sexual identity. Results In bivariate results stratified by sex, bisexual women were significantly more likely than heterosexual women to report all five types of harms. Lesbian respondents had greater odds relative to heterosexual women of reporting harm by a friend/coworker and assault or physical harm by a drinker. Bisexual identity among men was associated with greater odds of reporting assault/physical harm relative to heterosexual men in bivariate models. In adjusted models, differences by sexual identity were substantially reduced, with significance remaining only for friend/coworker-perpetrated harms and assault/physical harm among lesbian respondents compared with heterosexual women. For assault/physical harm, an interaction of sexual identity with the respondent's own drinking showed that the increased odds of harm associated with heavy drinking was even greater among sexual minority respondents (both bisexual and lesbian/gay respondents) than among heterosexual respondents. Because of its composition, this plant is very promising in the research of novel natural treatment for pain disorders. This study analyzed the phytochemical profile of M. dubia juice and assessed its antinociceptive and antiedematogenic potential. The phytochemical profile was determined through high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), the oral antinociceptive effect of M. dubia 50% juice (Md50) was evaluated by formalin, hot plate and Complete Freund's Adjuvant tests and the antiedematogenic activity by paw edema. HPLC revealed the presence of ascorbic acid, rutin, and ellagic acid as major compounds. Md50 showed an antinociceptive effect in the acute and chronic phases of the formalin test. In the hot plate test, Md50 also induced an antinociceptive effect of 0.5 up to 6 h, showing antinociceptive and antiedematogenic potential without changing the spontaneous locomotion of animals.
